The 10 new occupations are: exhibition designers, jewelry appraisers, entrepreneurial consultants, sign language interpreters, disaster information workers, caregivers for orphans and disabled children, urban rail contact network maintenance workers, CNC programmers, synthetic materials testers, and quality inspectors of interior decoration and furnishings.
Since the Ministry of Labor and Social Security set up a system for releasing information on new occupations in August 2004, it has released eight batches***86 new occupations, and the number of occupational categories in China has now reached 1,979.
