Seventy, ancestral generations, generations
Our family of eight educated youths left Jade Bird one after another from the first half of 1970 to the second half of 1971. The three girls walked in front. The first one to leave was Lifei, about after the Spring Festival of 1970; then She Lan and Lin Ya, in the second half of 1970; and finally Ying Hui, who left with the handsome little girl. Mu had an unforgettable relationship, but for some reason she did not marry him and eventually returned to Guiyang. Ying Hui left around the second half of 1971, later than the two brothers Jia Ming and Jia Xing. When Jia Ming and Jia Xing left, a family was evacuated from Guiyang and moved to the educated youth house by the team. Ying Hui lives on one side, and that family lives on the other side. Ying Hui, who walked last, was alone in her thatched hut. Her desolate state of mind at that time was really unimaginable.
The boys, China Hua, left first, in June and July of 1970. He was transferred to Wudang Taomu Township. His household registration was lost, but he did not go. He entered the city's accounting training class and was assigned to the electric power company six months later. With the help of Guohua's father, my fate reversed, and in 70 In early November of that year, he left the village and entered a mining machine repair factory on the outskirts of the city. The parents of brothers Jia Ming and Jia Xing were evacuated and sent to Weng'an, and they were also transferred to Weng'an in 1971.
It is said that Lin Ya is now in Xi'an, Lifei is now in Beijing, and Ying Hui is in a factory in Guiyang. She Lan had also seen her working as a salesperson in a shop at Dadong Street a few years ago, but later she disappeared to no one knows where. The four educated youths from the four teams who have the best relationship with our family, Ge Rong was taken away by the city's finance and trade department, and later became the chief accountant, and now he is raising his grandson in Beijing; Ying Guangcheng was transferred to Qingzhen, where he worked and settled down; Na Liying was transferred to He arrived in Zhejiang, entered the Medical University in 1973, and is now the chief physician; Ming Xiaoyue joined the army and returned to work in a provincial agency, reaching the department level. ?
Too old, too old! "Don't you see, the bright mirror in the high hall has sad and gray hair, the morning is like blue silk and the evening is like snow." Time is ruthless, and the twelve handsome young men and beautiful girls from these two families are now sad and gray in front of the mirror. The friendship and longing forged in a short period of time fifty years ago have become as long as flowing water. The boys could still get together frequently, but the girls only contacted Na Liying. Ying Guangcheng lived far away and saw each other occasionally. The other six people have not seen each other for decades. Except for Ge Rong, even if they walked across the street from the five girls now, they probably wouldn't recognize each other.
About 70% of the entire Bamao educated youth group has gone away from recruiting workers, and 25% has gone away from the transition point. The remaining 50% are people who bear heavy crosses and have no connections. The fate of these people has also changed with the changes of the times. In the next ten years or so, he left the village one after another. The farthest they have reached is the other side of the ocean, and the closest they have reached the district and county. Society has also accepted them and given them appropriate jobs. Their identity is no longer that of a farmer who can only hold a hoe and commit no serious crimes. The first batch of people to leave the village were around May or June of 1970. The latest person to leave was probably after 1980. Speaking of the difficulty of being recruited, most of the educated youth who were recruited will have a sad history. However, the difficulty of making a transfer is often unknown. Many educated youths and their families have worked hard and walked a tortuous and arduous road in order to change their lives. Hua Li and Jia Ming both left Bamao in a different direction. When it comes to the change of point, they are also full of pain:
- "After the incident of Jianming falling into the water, I also wanted to change my point and leave Bamao. My father is a doctor. , there was nothing to do with the factory, school, or financial and trade system, and the possibility of being recruited was almost zero. My father took me to a village where he had visited for medical treatment in Taomu Township, Wudang District, and found the wife of the captain who had been treated by him. I hoped to accept me, but it didn't happen. First, the team didn't give my father a clear answer. Second, it was a deep ravine that had to be reached by walking a long mountain road. Third, there were too many vicious dogs in the village. They scream fiercely and are ready to bite anyone at any time. They are frightened when walking and must carry a stick in their hands.

——"It is destined, life and death are destined, wealth is in heaven. In fact, we are not afraid of hardships. What the educated youth are afraid of is the lack of future and hope! The turning point was that my parents were evacuated to the countryside. At that time, I was completely devastated! "(Jia Ming)
——" @ 青海心 ?@ Jia Ming That moment was really the lowest point in my life, and I was really completely devastated! "(Holly)
——" When I mention the past, tears run down my chest. Educated youths from poor family backgrounds also face difficulties after moving to the city! Maybe Bihaixin will write our experiences into the book in the future! "(Jia Ming)
?
Both Hua Li and Jia Ming used the idiom "all despair", which means they are not in a state of complete despair, nor are they in a state of extreme sadness. , how could he suddenly make this heart-piercing cry?
After Jia Ming transferred to Weng'an in 1971, he was in great pain and despair about the future. At this stage, I feel that it was probably him and him. It was the lowest point in his family life. I once tried to understand his tragic experience, but he was unwilling to mention it again. As the years passed, Jia Ming married a beautiful and virtuous local Miao family. The girl became his wife and gave birth to a son and a daughter. She finally settled down in the countryside and integrated herself with the poor and lower-middle peasants. It was not until 1980 that Jia Ming returned to Guiyang with his wife and children. /p>
The following is Jia Ming’s self-report about his life trajectory after returning to the city:
——“In 1980, my wife brought her second son (son) to Guiyang, and we lived in a shack on Hequn Road. inside. The winter was surprisingly cold, with rain and snow leaking out, and the quilt getting soaked. My wife boiled water in a kettle, put a towel on it and ironed it back and forth before she could fall asleep at night. In summer, it is extremely hot inside the shack and the electric lights are dim. At night, numerous bed bugs attacked, and I was bitten and covered in lumps.
We used the food brought from the countryside to sustain our lives. I killed aircraft workers everywhere, and my wife made Qingming cakes to sell. After two months of selling, the glutinous rice, brown sugar, sesame seeds, rapeseed oil, and coal cakes were converted into the cost, not counting the labor, and still lost money. Coupled with the eviction from urban management and harassment by local gangsters, this kind of business is really difficult to do. During the Spring Festival of 1980, both children could not afford toys. Helpless, the wife made glutinous rice noodles that were almost red and sold them into glutinous rice balls, and bought a plastic toy for each of them. Faced with such a difficult life, my wife never gave up her efforts. What a couple in need! My cousin introduced my wife to work as a part-time worker at a construction site, and she still had some income. Later, she started a vegetable business, and our family went through extremely difficult times.
Two years later, because of my technical skills in construction and installation and my experience in teaching middle schools in rural areas, I was assigned to work as a teacher at the Construction Engineering Bureau Technical School... I traveled to bookstores in the city and library to collect teaching materials for various subjects: technical school Chinese, mathematics, politics, metal technology, mechanical drawing, blacksmith technology... ? Go to Pingba to arrange school buildings and classrooms. The dean, myself and other teachers still want to run the school in a formal way and don't want to mislead students.
During the school period, I also received some benefits, such as class teacher allowance, extra class fee, etc., which increased my monthly income by more than 20 yuan. My boss once asked me to go to TV University, but I didn't go because of family difficulties. I took the second child to school, and my mother took care of the eldest child. My wife only worked or started a business to solve the family's livelihood problems. But I lost the opportunity to get a paid diploma.
At that time, the admission score for engineering at Radio and Television University was only 260 points for 5 subjects!
Soon my mother got another house in No. 8 Middle School, and we got a stable place to live. In 1986, I served as a member of the company's technical department, and half a year later I became a member of the main department. The worker at No. 8 Middle School who had rectified my mother retired and became a resident committee member. He was ashamed of his mother and actively applied to the police station for my wife and children’s household registration. The police station section policeman and the secretary of the Yunyan branch were both students of his father's Jiefangchu Sinan Middle School. In this way, his wife and children's household registration was obtained without any hassle or expense, and they were allowed to move back to Guiyang. Regardless of her advanced age, my old mother personally went to the countryside to handle household registration and relocation for us (at that time, my eldest brother and I were working as aircraft workers, and my wife took the children to work). Jia Xing replaced his mother and was assigned to the No. 40 Middle School as a general affairs staff member. He took care of my wife who went to school to work as a cleaner. Later, through a relationship, his wife worked as a cook in the Workers' Hospital. Our family’s fatherly love, motherly love, and brotherly love are really as heavy as a mountain!
In 1989 I was promoted to section chief. Later, he served as engineering captain and factory director of the company's affiliated factories... In 2001, he passed the examination and obtained the title of engineer. When I was the engineering director of the company, there were three senior engineers under my leadership, which was made a joke by people in the company. The engineering department involves various professional technologies, such as mechanical equipment manufacturing and installation, water supply and drainage, heating and ventilation, electrical, fire protection, weak electricity, lifting and hoisting, civil engineering, etc. I am able to take up and let go in all aspects, and I am easy to lead. ... Later I became somewhat famous in the group company and even the Construction Department.
In 1990, at an accident investigation meeting, as the technical section chief, I overcame all objections and turned the accident investigation meeting into a technical analysis meeting, identifying defects in the design and preliminary construction. After the meeting, I organized the accident handling to restore the company's reputation and significant economic losses. The company manager said: It is difficult for the company to have talents like Jia Ming.
Looking back, although these experiences are not earth-shattering, they have been difficult, and every step has been soaked in hard work and sweat of study. Looking back, I feel that I have not failed the company, nor have I failed others or my own life. Most of the educated youths who returned to the city were like this. Like me, they experienced a road full of hardships and obstacles, and walked through it step by step. "(Jia Ming)
Jia Ming's life is indeed full of twists and turns. But he was not discouraged, always struggled forward, and finally reached the high point of his life, which deserves our admiration. As it is Jia Ming said that from the late 1960s to today, among this group of educated youths in Bamao, no one has experienced hardships and struggles in life, and no one has come through it smoothly.
?
Let’s go back to our days in Bamao——
When we harvested the second time in 1970, it was midsummer. During the second time, the rice plants in the field were waist-high, and I had to use my toes to do it. From noon to afternoon, the temperature was as high as 40 to 50 degrees. At this time, the water in the rice fields was warm. I went down to the fields wearing shorts and a vest. I first imitated the villagers and soaked a face towel in the water. Put some water around your head, and put on a huge bamboo hat to block the blazing direct sunlight. The headband of this hat is also made of bamboo strips, which is hollow and about an inch high, so that it can ventilate and dissipate heat, so that the top of the head is not exposed to heat. As for the accumulation of excessive heat, which can cause dizziness and heatstroke, the edges of the rice leaves have tiny and sharp saws, which constantly make burning holes on the legs and arms, and constantly sprinkle salt on these holes.
The sweat flowing down his forehead was like spring water flowing over his eyebrows and eyelashes, making his eyes blurry from time to time. The water dripping from the towel on top of my head evaporated in just seven or eight minutes, and when I took it off, it became dry and warped, like a bird's nest. So he immediately soaked it in water again and then wrapped it around his head, repeating this cycle. It's summer, and the skin of several boys is tanned and shiny, and occasionally there are a few red and shiny wounds after being burned by the sun. After a spring and summer of labor, we were all skinny and ragged. We had a pair of liberation shoes with big toes sticking out from the front and heels from the back.
Today, fifty years later, when I recall the two years of Bamao, I can’t help but have ups and downs in my heart, mixed feelings, and infinite emotions - these two years of Bamao were really two extraordinary years! Those springs and summers of joy and sorrow, hope and disappointment, those golden autumns full of heavy fruits, those warm, bustling and leisurely winters; those melancholy evenings with pain and illness, those bleak and pervasive prospects. The gloomy mornings covered with haze, those colorful days under the shade of the scorching sun...all of them, I have treasured them in my heart. These rare treasures, I will never be able to use them up in this lifetime. With Bamao's life in the past two years at the bottom, what kind of life can't we accept happily?
This is a scene I will never forget - during the plowing and transplanting season, Guohua, Jia Ming and I were raking the fields. After a field is plowed, the educated youth and farmers all become clay figures. Captain Meng, who was resting aside at this moment, suddenly asked: "Xiao Jia, is it hard to be a farmer?" After hearing this, Jia Ming truly shouted: "It's hard!" Captain Meng smiled slightly, and then looked up to the sky with extreme sadness. I sighed: "It's bitter! - You will have to leave sooner or later, and we are the only ones - our ancestors will stay on this land and suffer for generations!" I remember that my heart sank suddenly, and I almost cried. Come. Now, when I recall this scene, my eyes are still blurred by tears, and my heart is still full of infinite sadness.
Bitter! My fellow countrymen.
