2022 rural health room to be canceled?

In many people's impression, urban residents can go to the hospital, rural residents go to the village health room, which provides great convenience for villagers to see a doctor. Therefore, there are a large number of village health rooms in rural areas. However, there is recent news that village health centers are likely to close and more township health centers will be set up in the future. Many rural residents cannot figure this out. Village clinics provide medical services to farmers. Why should they all be closed?

In fact, over the past decades, village health clinics have provided good medical care for rural residents' health. If villagers had a headache, fever or a minor illness, they could go to the village health center to get medicine. Some rural villages are located in mountainous areas and transportation is not convenient, so it takes a long time to go to a nearby township health center. With a village health center, villagers can see a doctor and get medicine locally, which is very convenient.

But there are many problems with village health centers that really need to be improved. First, the medical ability of village health center doctors varies. Some have no formal medical training, and some follow others, learning for a while before coming out to treat. It's OK to see minor illnesses, but when it comes to major illnesses it's easier to misdiagnose them and jeopardize the patient's health.

Secondly, the medical equipment in village health centers is not good. Due to the lack of sufficient funds, village health centers only have some old medical equipment, making it difficult to improve the quality of medical care and limited ability to treat patients. Thirdly, a few village health centers always prescribe medicines to villagers indiscriminately in order to make money. Villagers spend money for nothing, not to mention that it may jeopardize their health.

Now the question arises. Will all village health centers really be closed in the future? This is not the case. In the future, the number of village health rooms will be greatly reduced and more township hospitals will be established. However, for the existing village health rooms, our country requires practitioners to have relevant qualifications so that they can be licensed to work. At the same time, higher-level medical institutions are required to send people to village health offices on a regular basis to provide medical guidance. This will improve the overall medical standard of village health centers and avoid misdiagnosis.

In addition, the construction of township health centers is now being increased everywhere, with the purchase of advanced medical instruments and equipment, greatly improving the medical standard of township health centers. If villagers go to township health centers, they will get better treatment and the rate of misdiagnosis will be greatly reduced, thus ensuring the health of villagers. With the development of road transportation in our country over the years, villages are now connected to the highway, and it is more convenient for villagers to see a doctor in a nearby township health center than before.

All village health centers will reportedly be closed? As far as we know, it is only to reduce the size of existing village health centers and build more township health centers. As for the existing village health offices, the new regulations require that the relevant personnel be qualified for medical practice and receive regular training, which can greatly improve the medical standard of village health offices. At the same time, localities will increase the number of township health centers and encourage villagers to visit them, so that the majority of villagers can get better medical conditions and ensure good health.
