Beijing 304 Clinical Department was incorporated into the General Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in 2004. Formerly a modern comprehensive hospital with complete disciplines, advanced equipment and strong technical force, integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health care, it was the first batch of hospitals in the whole army to be rated as Grade 3A hospitals, and was awarded the Baiqiu'en Quality Service Trophy for three consecutive years, and was the first batch of designated units for medical insurance in Beijing. Burns Research Institute
The hospital's All-military Burns Research Institute is one of the 20 top priority disciplines in the whole army, and is a doctoral and master's degree training center and postdoctoral mobile station. It has an independent burns research institute building, world-class burns treatment facilities and equipment. With strong technical strength, Prof. Sheng Zhiyong, one of the founders of China's burn medicine and an academician of the Academy of Engineering, works here. His student, Prof. Chai Jiake, a famous young and middle-aged academic leader of burn medicine in China, is the director of the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery, and has participated in the major rescue of national batch burns casualties for more than ten times, and all of them have accomplished the rescue tasks excellently.
The clinical diagnosis and treatment and theoretical research on large-area deep burns, prevention and treatment of burn sepsis and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, shock scabbing, infections, burn nutrient metabolism, prevention and treatment of oxygen radical damage, disfiguring traumatic wound repair, biological engineering of skin tissues, skin storage as well as functional rehabilitation are in a leading position in China, and a series of innovative results have been achieved: For the first time, he proposed a new concept of "aerobic glycolysis" in burn sepsis; summarized the causative factors, clinical characteristics and regression of burn sepsis, and revealed the mechanism of high catabolism of skeletal muscle proteins in severe burn sepsis; put forward the diagnostic criteria of sepsis in line with the clinical practice of burns and established a comprehensive prevention and treatment program; successfully developed porcine decellularized dermal matrix and applied it to the clinical practice. The successful development of porcine decellularized dermal matrix and its application in the clinic has opened a new way to solve the problems of early wound coverage and late scar proliferation in patients with deep burns; the creation of a new method of repairing disfiguring tissue defects and the preoperative diagnosis of electrical burns, which solves some of the problems of repair; in addition, the treatment of burns and post-traumatic keloid deformities and the treatment of organ defects reconstruction, congenital malformations of the body surface, etc, with satisfactory results.
Leading the world in the clinical treatment of patients with large-area burns. Over the decades, it has developed its own characteristics and advantages in the treatment of burns. The total cure rate of burns reaches 99.8%, and LA50 reaches 98.97%, which is much higher than the treatment level of 95% and 81.00% in 28 burn centers in the United States, and 94% and 42.83% in Birmingham Burn Center in the United Kingdom.
