India visa application process:
First, the visa applicant to determine the purpose of travel to India and trip plan.
Secondly, log on to the official website of the Indian Embassy in China, browse the information about the visa and the list of required documents, and record the basic steps of online application.
Third, prepare your documents.
Fourth, apply online, the steps are as follows:
1) Log on to the website of the Embassy of India in China and click on "Visa Application" on the page. Click on the visa category for which you are applying and you will see all the information about the visa category. Then, click on "Online Visa Application" and fill up the form online.
2) Memorize the Provisional Application ID number (15 digits, both alphanumeric and numeric), which is automatically generated and found in the e-form. If the applicant does not complete the form in one go, the system permits this number to be entered again, and the applicant's previously unfinished e-form will be called up and can be continued.
3)When the online application is completed, the system automatically generates the application number. The completed form is in PDF format, save it, print it out and submit it to the Visa Application Center together with other application documents. This is the official application form required for submitting the visa application and the Embassy will not accept any other form of application.
4)When filling the visa application form online, it is important to fill in all the information accurately, as none of the information can be modified once it is saved or printed. Therefore, if the applicant realizes that the information filled in is incorrect only after saving or printing, he/she can only reapply online.
Fifthly, submit the printed visa application and all the required documents in the vetting form to the Visa Application Center.
Sixth, wait for the embassy or consulate to review the application.
Seventh, get the visa. After getting the visa, you should carefully check whether the information on the visa is correct, especially whether the starting and ending time of the visa validity and the number of days of stay are in accordance with what you have applied for, and whether the personal information on the visa, such as the spelling of the name, is correct, and if you find any errors, you should contact the embassy or consulate in time.
Note:
1. Chinese nationals must obtain an Indian visa beforehand before entering India. Indian Embassy and Consulates in China accept all types of visa applications from Chinese citizens. Indian Embassies, Consulates or High Commissions in other countries also accept all types of visa applications from Chinese nationals. The Ministry of External Affairs of India handles visa matters for diplomats and officials. The Ministry of Home Affairs and the Foreigners Department under it handle all other types of visas and extensions of visas and residence permits for foreigners. Chinese nationals are not allowed to apply for port of entry visas at airports and ports in India.
2. Notes on Passport
The original passport should be signed by the bearer on the last page; it should be valid for at least six months (counting from the last day of the validity period of the visa applied for); the passport should have at least two blank pages for visa use; and all the old passports must be provided.
