Stomatological Hospital of Wuhan University, formerly known as Stomatological Hospital of Hubei Medical University, was founded in 1960. It is the first stomatology department established by New China. 1962 stomatological hospital affiliated to Hubei medical college was established and opened in Wuchang;
From 65438 to 0993, the Department of Stomatology of Hubei Medical College was renamed as the School of Stomatology of Hubei Medical University; On August 2, 2000, with the approval of the State Council, the former Wuhan University, Wuhan University of Water Resources and Electric Power, Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping and Hubei Medical University formed the new Wuhan University, and the hospital was renamed Wuhan University Stomatological Hospital.
After decades of efforts and construction, it has developed into an advanced stomatological college integrating teaching, scientific research and medical treatment, and is one of the important stomatological colleges and major stomatological education bases in China.
The School of Stomatology of Wuhan University has the right to award the doctorate of stomatology, and basic stomatology is a national key discipline. A group of well-known professors at home and abroad gathered, including 2 national famous teachers, 5 new century talents from the Ministry of Education, 24 doctoral supervisors and 6 1 person. They have mastered the international leading technology, advanced diagnosis and treatment equipment and advanced teaching and research facilities.
Now we can recruit five-year undergraduate students, seven-year undergraduate students, eight-year undergraduate students, master students, doctoral students, international students and advanced students every year. Every year, famous scholars from all over the world hold academic lectures and exchanges from time to time, and train groups of students all over the world.
Stomatological hospital is a post-doctoral mobile station in stomatology. It is equipped with the Key Laboratory of Stomatology of the Ministry of Education and the National Key Laboratory Cultivation Base built by the Department of Basic Stomatology.
The College also edited and published the Journal of Stomatology Research in cooperation with more than ten brother universities. College teachers edit or participate in the compilation of all undergraduate and postgraduate planning textbooks of the Ministry of Health.
Stomatological hospital is a three-level first-class specialized hospital, and it is also the base of stomatology teaching, scientific research and clinical practice. There are 23 clinical and internal medicine departments, among which endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, dental implants and children's stomatology are national key clinical specialties.
