3. Tumor radiofrequency treatment technology
Systematic and in-depth research has been conducted around the field of RFA. Excellent achievements have been made in electrode optimization, imaging tissue correspondence and experimental methodology. In cooperation with enterprises, we have developed a radiofrequency tumor therapeutic instrument with our own intellectual property rights and technology patents, which was approved by the state for mass production and clinical application in 2005; in terms of clinical application, we are one of the earliest few units in China to apply this technology to the treatment of liver cancer, lung cancer, kidney cancer and intracranial tumors. The Pancreatic Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center is one of the five major pancreatic surgery centers in China. It is a leading center in the diagnosis and treatment of severe acute pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer in China; it is the first one in the province to carry out laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy, removal of insulinoma, internal drainage of pancreatic pseudocysts, and resection of pancreatic body and tail, all of which are advanced in China. Breast cancer sentinel lymph node biopsy, micro-metastasis and other research ranked the forefront of the domestic counterparts, and carried out research on "Breast Cancer Stem Cells" and "Function of New Cytidine Deaminase hDCA Gene in Breast Cancer". Over the past decades, the department has been focusing on bronchial asthma as the main direction of research, and has done a lot of basic and clinical research, formed its own diagnosis and treatment characteristics, and reached the domestic leading level. In recent years, the department has conducted in-depth research on the mechanism of airway inflammation in asthma and its non-invasive diagnosis, clinical intervention and new methods, with remarkable achievements: "β2 receptor abnormality and its clinical significance in patients with bronchial asthma" won the second prize of the Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress; "Experimental research on the diagnosis and treatment of bronchial asthma" won the second prize of the Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress. "Experimental Research on Diagnosis and Treatment of Bronchial Asthma" won the second prize of Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress; "Experimental and Clinical Research on Airway Inflammation in Bronchial Asthma" won the third prize of Chinese Medical Science and Technology and the second prize of Nanjing Scientific and Technological Progress at the same time. The Sleep Disordered Breathing Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center was established in 2001, and has purchased advanced equipment such as internationally advanced polysomnography, PTT sleep and respiration monitor, plasma cryogenic radiofrequency ablation instrument, and matching servo automatic positive airway pressure ventilator. Every year, it successfully treats more than 1,000 patients with sleep disorders, publishes more than 50 papers in domestic and foreign journals (including 8 SCI papers), and wins 10 awards at home and abroad, which are highly concerned and praised by domestic and foreign counterparts. The department has undertaken one provincial-level international cooperation project, presided over and participated in one project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and hosted two international symposiums on sleep breathing disorders. The technical specialty of the department in this field is a series of research on the correlation between sleep apnea syndrome and cardiovascular diseases and intervention treatment. The department has accumulated rich experience in respiratory infectious diseases, with high clinical diagnosis and cure rates. Prof. Yin Kaisheng is a member of the National Anti-Infection Group and the vice chairman of the East China Lung Infection Collaboration Group. He has been responsible for the development and implementation of the green channel procedure for stroke emergency treatment, the emergency treatment standard for stroke, as well as the key technology program for stroke emergency treatment in the major bidding project of Jiangsu Province, which is the "Application and Demonstration Research of Key Technology for Stroke Emergency Treatment" (BS2006007). A large number of difficult and complicated diseases have been successfully diagnosed and treated. At present, the department can carry out the techniques of routine electroencephalogram, dynamic electroencephalogram, cerebral blood flow ultrasonography, electromyography (including single-fiber electromyography), evoked potentials, transcranial magnetic stimulation diagnosis and treatment. In addition, we also carry out real-time detection of cranial hypertension, cerebellar parietal nucleus stimulation and other new technologies.
