Repair and treatment of common faults of water heaters: (It is recommended that users ask professionals to perform maintenance. We recommend Fuzhou Kangwei Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd., contact number 131--1075--2876)
Fault 1: Sudden trip under normal heating: The heating tube and the temperature-sensitive switch probe conduct heat directly through the metal. If the heat conduction is too fast or too high, a malfunction will occur. Solution: Pull the temperature-sensitive switch probe up about 40mm from the bottom of the blind tube to cut off the power. , set the multimeter to the maximum resistance level of 20MΩ; then connect the two test leads to the heating tube shell and any power terminal. If the cold insulation resistance is greater than 5Ω, the heating tube needs to be replaced; the heating tube The insulation performance is degraded (generally it will appear after a period of use), and the insulation resistance value is unstable. When the leakage current exceeds a certain value, the leakage protection plug will immediately take action: check, eliminate or replace the heating tube; other live components and machines What to do if leakage occurs between the shells: Check and eliminate or replace components; If the leakage protection plug has poor contact with the inferior socket, causing malfunction due to overheating: Replace the socket; If either the leakage protection plug or the temperature-sensitive switch fails: Replace the temperature sensor Switch or leakage and protect the plug.
Fault 2: There is no leakage when not heated, but leakage occurs after filling with water. Cause analysis: The heating tube shell burns through, leaks, and conducts electricity, resulting in leakage. Solution: Replace the heating tube.
Fault 3: The heating indicator light is on, but heating is not possible:
Poor contact or disconnection at the heating tube connector: Check and eliminate; Treatment for burnt heating tube: Replace the heating tube.
Fault 4: The heating indicator light does not light up and cannot heat: the thermostat connector has poor contact or disconnection. Treatment: check and eliminate;
Thermostat burnout treatment: replace. Thermostat.
Fault 5: The water heater indicator light stays on: there are few contact points between the temperature-sensing surface of the thermostat and the flange surface of the electric heating pipe. Solution: Reinstall the thermostat so that the temperature-sensing plane is in contact.
Fault 6: No heat preservation function, heating continues until tripping: the thermostat operating temperature is too high or has been melted and short-circuited. Solution: Replace the thermostat.
Fault 7: The heating time is too long: the water heater does not use the highest power level for heating (for electric water heaters with power conversion function). Treatment: Turn the power conversion switch to the maximum power level; Treatment of broken electric heating tube: Replace the electric heating tube.
Fault 8: It is always in the heat preservation state and cannot be reheated: the thermostat cannot be reset and remains open circuit: Replace the thermostat.
Fault 9: During the heating process of the water heater, water drops dripped out of the small hole of the safety valve: Since the electric water heater is a water storage closed electric water heater, during the heating or heat preservation process, the water pressure in the inner tank of the water heater Greater than 6Mpa, causing the one-way safety valve to overflow and cause water droplets to drip out. Treatment: close the water inlet valve and adjust the water mixing valve knob to a high temperature to avoid leakage of the one-way safety valve and cause water to drip out of the shower head; If the mixing valve is not installed, you can open the hot water outlet ball valve a little, release the pressure and flow water here, and avoid leakage of the one-way safety valve.
Fault 10: The heating indicator light does not light up, but it can heat normally: the indicator light has poor contact or disconnection.
Fault 11: No heat preservation function, keep heating until the temperature trips: the thermostat operating temperature is too high or has melted and short-circuited. Solution: replace the thermostat.
Fault 12: It is always in the heat preservation state and cannot be reheated: the thermostat cannot be reset and remains open circuit. Solution: Replace the thermostat.
Fault 13: Heating time is too long: When the water heater is used for the first time (or stopped for a period of time), it takes about 2 hours to heat the water to the maximum water temperature of 750C. The water heater is not using the highest power level for heating (for electric water heaters with power conversion function).
The electric heating tube is broken. Solution: Turn the power conversion switch to the maximum power level or replace the electric heating tube.
Fault 14: Outflow from the small hole of the safety valve: The tap water pressure is too high, exceeding 0.7 MPa (safety valve relief pressure). The steam pressure in the heater is greater than the relief pressure of the safety valve, and a small amount of water comes out. The thermostat is broken, leaving the water heater in a heating state.
Treatment method: Install a pressure reducing device in front of the water heater inlet or open the water outlet or replace the thermostat.
Fault 15: The leakage protection indicator light does not light up: the power pole base has no power or poor contact.
There is no water in the water heater (or it is not filled), the electric heating tube is in a dry burning state, and the reset button of the leakage protection plug jumps to cut off the power supply. The water temperature of the water heater is too high and the reset button of the leak protection plug jumps and cuts off the power supply. The water heater leaks electricity, and the reset button of the leakage protection plug jumps and cuts off the power supply.
Treatment method: Use an electric pen to check whether there is electricity and whether the contact between the leakage protection plug and the socket is good. First fill the water heater with water according to the instructions for use, and then press the reset button of the leakage protection plug to return to normal. The thermostat is malfunctioning, replace the thermostat.
The electric heating tube is damaged, replace the electric heating tube. Use an electric pen to check for leakage. If there is leakage, use an electric pen to identify the location of the leakage and try to eliminate the leakage.
