I, GCC certification certification background
Since July 1, 2016, the Gulf States for some low-voltage electrical equipment and supplies technical regulations will be mandatory implementation of GCC
certification requirements.
With the implementation of this regulation, some low-voltage electrical equipment manufactured locally or imported into the markets of 7
Gulf countries (including the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Yemen) will have to meet the safety and EMC
EMC requirements listed in the technical regulation.
Second, GCC certification certification mode
Non-mandatory products: in accordance with the previous process to apply for customs clearance documents;
Mandatory products: the product is tested by
GSO (Gulf Organization for Standardization) designated accreditation body to issue the GCC type certification.
At present, 13 specific categories of electrical products have been assigned to the scope of GCC mandatory certification, must be obtained from the
GSO designated accreditation body issued by the GCC type approval certificate in the product mark G-mark in order to circulate in the seven Gulf Member States, printed with the G-mark mark of the product, indicating that the product has been in line with the
GCC technical regulations. G-mark indicates that the product has complied with GCC technical and regulatory requirements.
GCC Certification G-mark Certification Process
