Legal basis:
Article 54 of the Prison Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) shall set up medical institutions and sanitary facilities, and establish a sanitary system for prisoners. The medical care of criminals is included in the health and epidemic prevention plan of the prison area. Therefore, criminals will get timely treatment after they get sick while serving their sentences.
1, common diseases such as colds and fever, police officers take them to the prison hospital for treatment every day.
2. Chronic diseases such as hypertension will be filed in the prison hospital, and the medicines taken every day will be distributed to the prison area. The health workers in the prison area are responsible for taking them on time every day and making registration.
3, tuberculosis, hepatitis and other infectious diseases, will be hospitalized in the prison hospital, accompanied by a special person, and take care of the diet, canteen to do special sick meals.
4, incurable diseases and other prison hospitals are difficult to diagnose, will contact social hospital experts in prison consultation, or with the help of social hospital equipment for diagnosis.
5. If the illness is serious and the treatment conditions in the prison hospital are insufficient, they will be transferred to the provincial specialized hospital for treatment, and the expenses will be borne by the prison. If they meet the conditions for medical parole, they will apply for medical parole.
