Zhong ___ tops Hurun 100 list

Nongfushanquan founder Zhong ___ has shocked not only China but the world by becoming China's richest man with his bottled water, according to the Hurun 100 list released today.

The most notable losers in 2021 were Luckin coffee Lu (last year's wealth of 24 billion yuan) and 44-year-old Qian (last year's wealth of 12 billion yuan), after Ruixing was found to have fraudulent income. Debt-ridden HNA man Chen Feng (wealth $13 billion last year) was listed among them.

Chinese entrepreneurs engaged in emerging industries accounted for 36 percent of the total, up 4 percentage points from the previous year; 64 percent were in traditional industries.

Among the entrepreneurs in emerging industries on the list, the advanced manufacturing industry has the largest number of entrepreneurs, with 167, an increase of 60 from the previous year, accounting for 43 percent of the total number of entrepreneurs on the list
