Chapter I Battlefield Situation
A refugee camp in northern Afghanistan.
A kilometer away is a fierce battlefield, and the sound of light weapons shooting is very dense. From time to time, there was the sound of shells exploding and the roar of helicopters hovering. A Red Cross flag flutters in the wind over the refugee camp, but it has been damaged and destroyed in many places.
Suddenly, several locals rushed into the gate carrying stretchers. On the stretcher, there is a seriously injured person. Blood ran down the stretcher and was trampled into the soil.
At this time, the nurse with the Red Cross on her back rushed out, hurriedly put the respirator in her hand on the injured person's mouth, and then waved: "Get out of the way, this way, quickly!" "
The stretcher was carried into a big tent, in which there were only some crude medical equipment and a few small operating tables. On the edge of the operating table stood several doctors, mostly white-skinned westerners. The most conspicuous is the surgeon standing in the middle. He is obviously an oriental with yellow skin and black eyes. A pair of big masks blocked most of my face and I couldn't see how old I was.
The tent immediately became busy.
The nurse carefully cut open the clothes of the injured person, and then reported to the surgeon: "Abdominal puncture injury, bullet should still be inside, abnormal pupil, and pulse." ...
