3. It is prohibited to directly discharge sewage from medical institutions to drinking water protection areas and swimming areas in GB3838 Class I and II waters and Class III waters, and GB3097 Class I and II waters.

5. Sewage from medical institutions that is disinfected with chlorine-containing disinfectants should be dechlorinated so that the total residual chlorine is less than 0.5mg/L if it is discharged directly into surface water bodies and sea areas.
