History of Hisense Group:
In 1969, Hisense's predecessor, Qingdao Radio No.2 Factory, was established to produce semiconductor radios, with fixed assets of 107,000 yuan and more than 10 employees.
In August 1970, Qingdao Radio Two Factory developed the first tube-type 14-inch TV set in Shandong Province, which opened up Hisense's foray into television and filled the gap in Shandong Province. In that year *** production of 82 TV sets, gross industrial output value (sales revenue) 698,000 yuan.
April 1970, the 501 transistor desktop radio was successfully developed, named "red light" brand.
In 1979, Qingdao Radio Factory No.2 was established as the main body, together with Electronic Components Factory No.8, Shinan Carton Factory and Heavy Tool Factory to form Qingdao Television Factory.
