Evaporator and condenser difference

I. Definition

Condenser and evaporator are both common refrigeration equipment, but they have different definitions.

The condenser is a heat exchanger that cools a high-temperature, high-pressure refrigerant directly in the condenser, changing it from a gaseous state to a liquid state and releasing a large amount of heat. A condenser is usually a tube-in-tube heat exchanger with refrigerant in the inner tube and cooling water or air flowing in the outer tube.

The evaporator box is a device in which one or more closed containers are cooled in a high vacuum by charging a refrigerant into them and changing their gaseous or liquid state to a gas. The evaporator box is usually a closed box with refrigerant condenser tubes or cooling devices laid inside in order to remove the heat from the refrigerant.

Second, the function

Condenser and evaporator box both have the function of refrigeration, but the realization of different ways.

The condenser is mainly used to change the high-temperature, high-pressure gaseous state of the refrigerant into a low-temperature, low-pressure liquid state, and at the same time, the heat released by the refrigerant is discharged from the outside of the equipment, playing a cooling role. Condenser is widely used in air conditioners, freezers, cold storage and so on.

The evaporator box is usually used in the refrigeration process of refrigeration equipment, the refrigerant's gaseous state into a liquid state, to play a rapid cooling effect. Evaporator boxes are widely used in refrigeration equipment, hydraulic pumping stations, welding equipment, medical equipment and so on.

Three, structure

The structure of the condenser and evaporator box is also different.

The condenser is usually composed of two tubes inside and outside, the outer tube is usually made of aluminum shell or steel shell, the inner tube is made of copper refrigeration tube. The inner tube flows with refrigerant, and the outer tube flows with cooling water or air. Cooling water or air through the outer tube for heat transfer, the inner tube flow of high-temperature, high-pressure refrigerant into a low-temperature, low-pressure state, at the same time, the release of heat out of the equipment outside.

The evaporator box is usually a closed container, the internal refrigeration device or refrigeration tube, through the injection of refrigerant, the gas or liquid state into a gas, so as to realize the role of cooling. The internal refrigeration device of the evaporator box usually includes an evaporator and a condenser, in which the evaporator mainly serves to absorb the heating load, and the condenser is used to discharge the heat absorbed in the evaporator.
