What is the tort liability law?

The Tort Liability Law is a law enacted to protect the lawful rights and interests of civil subjects, clarify tort liability, prevent and sanction tortious behavior, and promote social harmony and stability.

According to Article 1 of the Tort Liability Law of the People's Republic of China, this law is enacted to protect the lawful rights and interests of civil subjects, to clarify the responsibility for infringement, to prevent and sanction infringement, and to promote social harmony and stability.

Article 2 infringement of civil rights and interests, shall be liable for tort in accordance with this law.
