1. National Health Commission introduced that up to now, China has specially supported 80 first-class new drugs to be approved for listing and built 50 national clinical medical centers;

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China has accelerated the implementation of major national science and technology projects, the creation of new drugs and the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, and supported the listing of 80 first-class new drugs, which is 16 times that before the implementation of the projects. The innovation system of health science and technology has been continuously improved, and 50 national clinical medical research centers have been built in 20 common and frequently-occurring areas such as cardiovascular diseases. 75 national key laboratories have been established in the field of biomedicine. Construction of major national scientific and technological infrastructure for translational medicine in five medical institutions, including Peking Union Medical College Hospital;
3. During the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, a number of national clinical medical research centers will be built in China to form a nationwide cooperative research network. We will carry out the pilot reform of the scientific and technological system in the health field, start the national scientific and technological plans such as the 2030 major project of scientific and technological innovation in the health field, implement major projects such as "brain science and brain-like research" and key projects such as "research on prevention and treatment of common diseases and frequently-occurring diseases", and accelerate the popularization and application of suitable medical and health technologies in grassroots and remote areas.

According to clinical needs, clinical research centers are set up according to disease fields, and several clinical research centers are set up in each field. According to the research priorities and actual needs of disease prevention and control in this field, clinical research centers have established a disease research collaboration network (hereinafter referred to as the "research network"), and cooperated with secondary and tertiary hospitals and primary medical institutions to carry out disease prevention and control research.
