The Draeger C2000 Neonatal Warmer is a high-grade, sophisticated medical device that guarantees excellent clinical results, but it also has its own requirements for conditions of use, such as the use of water in the warmer. The water conditions for this type of equipment are as follows:
Use only distilled water (total solids <10ppm),
sterile water cannot be used in place of distilled water.
Failure to do so may result in equipment damage.
The evaporator that provides humidity in the C2000 unit raises the injected distilled water to the boiling point, which effectively kills any bacteria that may remain in the water and prevents the spread of bacteria and viruses into the neonatal warmer.
