Automatic identification technology applied to many scenes and industry sectors, such as:

Our daily most common is the automatic identification of parking lots, generally through RFID, Bluetooth, camera impact recognition of license plates and other ways to complete automatic identification.

Barcodes are divided into one-dimensional code and two-dimensional code. The quality of printing directly determines the success rate of subsequent barcode automatic identification, if the subsequent process is equipped with better quality scanning equipment (such as the use of Motorola, Foley and other brands), the scanning speed and depth of field has the advantage of barcode printing can be more forgiving.

Common barcode printing method has two kinds: one is the use of printing equipment and printing graphics collocation group plate layout for batch printing. The other is controlled by a computer to print barcode labels and barcode files at the right time. The former applies to a large number, fixed specifications, the same content of the bar code, and packaging graphics at the same time design and printing. The latter can be controlled by the computer to achieve instant printing on demand, more flexible. In order to ensure that the printed bar code in line with the design specifications, should be based on the printing process and the characteristics of the substrate, consider the plate making process.

Such as the flexographic printing process, in the plate making can be considered appropriate to reduce the line width, in order to make up for the deformation caused by the printing of the expansion of the deviation. For the printing of heat shrink packaging materials, we should consider the position of the bar code after the film shrinkage, pre-calculated longitudinal and lateral shrinkage coefficients in order to adjust the layout according to the shrinkage coefficient in the plate making. 

In order to facilitate the use of normal reading, should pay attention to the bar code printing ink color selection. Barcode reading system, set the scanner light source for the wavelength of 630 ~ 700nm red light source, so the ink color should be considered the red effect. 

The scanner's incident light irradiation in different materials and colors of the bar code surface, the resulting reflection effect is different.

Black ink for red light can be completely absorbed, printed on the incident light reflection rate is generally below 3%, so most bar codes are designed to use black ink color for printing. White ink is completely reflective of red light, and its reflectance of incident light is close to 100%, making it the ideal blank color.

For these reasons, most bar codes on printed products are printed directly on white paper. However, some packaging products, from the design and process effects, there are options to use other colors for printing, which should be noted according to the nature of the color to match. Usually high reflectivity of red light colors are yellow, orange, red, light brown, etc., while green, black, purple and cyan, etc., lower reflectivity of red light.

Reasonable design of barcode printing color, should give full consideration to the color of red light reflectivity and other factors. Transparent film packaging is not suitable for direct printing of bar codes, should first be printed on the white ink or yellow, orange-red as a backing, and then, printed on the dark bar code, such as black, dark green, dark blue, etc., so that it can be easy to read and use.
