European generation RsP full name of the EU authorized representative. European representative refers to the person in charge of the seller's sale of CE-marked goods in the European Union while the seller is outside of the European Union, and performs specific duties on behalf of the seller as required by relevant European Union directives and laws for that seller.
Products bearing the CE marking of the European Union or the UKCA marking of the United Kingdom, such as power supplies, home appliances, electronics, communication products, wireless products, wireless communications, machinery, medical devices and toys.
Note: Products with or without electricity need to be registered.
Sellers who meet the following conditions must register for European/UK agency:
1. Selling in the European EEA (including the EU and EFTA) and the UK;
2. Selling goods belonging to the scope of the CE and UKCA certifications;
3. Manufacturers of goods in the EU or the UK Outside of the country.
The new EU Regulation on the Safety of Goods (known as EMR 2019/1020), which came into force in July 2021,requires that goods bearing the CE marking need to have a person based in the EU as the "responsible person" for compliance of the goods. (Note: Due to Brexit, UKCA-marked goods will apply to the UK generation, similar to CE)
If you are selling CE-marked goods that are manufactured outside of the EU, you will need to ensure that:
1) such goods have a person responsible for the goods in the EU;
2) your CE-marked goods have the person responsible posted with the person's contact information. Such labels may be affixed to the goods, to the packaging of the goods, to the parcel or to the accompanying documents.
