Corrosion resistance and the main use of the environment: 253MA is an alloy obtained by increasing the nitrogen content in the basis of alloy 1.4828 and adding rare earth elements for microalloying. It has good oxidation resistance and good high temperature corrosion resistance.
High temperature mechanical strength. The most suitable operating temperature range is 850-1100℃. If used in the range of 600 to 850°C, the structural toughness will result in a reduction in impact toughness at room temperature.

The chemical composition of 253MA is balanced, which gives the steel an optimum combination of properties in the temperature range of 850°C to 1100°C, very high oxidation resistance, and a scale temperature of up to 1150°C;
Extremely high creep resistance and creep rupture strength. Good resistance to high temperature corrosion and brush corrosion in most gaseous media; high yield and tensile strength at elevated temperatures; good formability and weldability and adequate machinability.
In addition to the alloying elements chromium and nickel, 253MA stainless steel also contains a small amount of rare earth metals (rare earth metals, REM), can significantly improve its oxidation resistance. Nitrogen is added to improve creep properties and to make the steel fully austenitic. Although relatively low in chromium and nickel, this stainless steel has many of the same high-temperature properties as high-alloyed alloy steels and nickel-based alloys.
Applications include:253MA is widely used in sintering equipment, blast furnace equipment, steel smelting, furnaces and continuous casting equipment, rolling mills (heating furnaces), heat treating furnaces and fittings, mining equipment and cement production equipment.
253MA is a heat-resistant austenitic stainless steel.CHS102 is a stainless steel electrode with titanium-calcium flux casing, and its weld metal has good mechanical properties and resistance to intergranular corrosion.
