From a continental perspective, 54.5% of Russian exports by value went to the rest of Europe, while 36.8% went to Asian importers. Smaller percentages went to Africa (3.8 percent), North America (3.4 percent) and Latin America (1.2 percent), excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean.
Given Russia's population of 141 million, its exports in 2018 totaled $449.3 billion, or roughly $3,200 for each resident of this Eurasian continent.
