Relationship between the Sino-American Shanghai Friendship Association and the Sino-American Friendship Association

The Sino-American Friendship Association (SAFA) is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit organization registered with the U.S. government and dedicated to U.S.-China friendship. It was founded in 1992 with the aim of establishing a good platform for China-U.S. exchanges and promoting understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries, expanding exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, deepening China-U.S. friendly relations, and promoting world peace and development by promoting all forms of China-U.S. friendship activities. Over the years, the US-China Friendship Association has designed targeted programs for members of the two countries with different backgrounds and needs, helped members understand the development of China and the United States in the fields of economy, science and technology, education, culture, tourism, health and other areas, as well as the opportunities therein, and meticulously planned and arranged a diverse range of China-US exchange activities such as reciprocal visits, thematic symposiums, academic seminars, high-end forums, exhibitions and performances, and organized outstanding Chinese and American people of all walks of life to participate in China-US exchange activities. The program organizes a wide range of exchanges between Chinese and U.S. personalities from all walks of life, including renowned experts, scholars, business leaders, cultural artists, etc. It promotes exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and U.S. local governments, and facilitates the establishment of friendship cities, schools, and hospitals between China and the U.S. The program has successfully achieved a series of results in cooperation in the areas of economics, trade, culture, the arts, education, tourism, and medical and health care. In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of U.S.-China diplomatic relations, the "U.S.-China High-Level Forum on Real Estate, Clean Energy, and International Branding", the first "U.S.-China Flag Raising Ceremony" at the Bronze Cow Park on Wall Street in New York City, and the large-scale "China [sic]" event jointly organized with the NBA for the past three years, we have successfully achieved a series of cooperation results. The "China Night" Chinese New Year Party and the "Chinese Culture Week" series of activities have helped the U.S.-China friendship blossom. Science and Technology Cooperation Committee - organizes high-end seminars and exchanges on science and technology between China and the U.S., strengthens cooperation in science and technology between China and the U.S., takes full advantage of the scientific and technological strengths of China and the U.S. and the advantages of human resources, and facilitates the cooperation of a number of high-tech projects to significantly enhance productivity. Tourism Cooperation Committee - to understand the tourism policies, needs and resources of China and the U.S., to carry out tourism cooperation planning and planning, to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism, and to promote the diversified development of China-U.S. tourism cooperation.
