What is a power lithium battery?

Power lithium batteries have the following differences from ordinary lithium batteries:

First, the nature is different.

Power lithium battery refers to the battery that provides power for vehicles, generally relative to the small battery that provides energy for portable electronic equipment; Ordinary lithium battery is a kind of primary battery with lithium metal or lithium alloy as negative electrode material and non-aqueous electrolyte solution, which is different from rechargeable lithium-ion battery and lithium-ion polymer battery.

Second, the battery capacity is different.

In the case of all new batteries, the battery capacity was tested by a discharge instrument. The capacity of general power lithium battery is about 1000- 1500mAh. The capacity of ordinary lithium batteries is above 2000mAh, and some can reach 3400mAh.

Third, the discharge power is different.

A 4200mAh power lithium battery can discharge the power in just a few minutes, but ordinary lithium batteries can't do it at all, so the discharge ability of ordinary lithium batteries can't be compared with power lithium batteries at all.

The biggest difference between power lithium battery and ordinary lithium battery lies in its high discharge power and high specific energy. Because the main purpose of power lithium battery is to provide energy for vehicles, it has higher discharge power than ordinary batteries.

The working voltage of (1) single battery is as high as 3.7V, which is three times that of Ni-Cd battery and Ni-MH battery, and nearly twice that of lead-acid battery, which is also an important reason for the high specific energy of lithium power battery. Therefore, when forming a power battery pack with the same voltage, the number of series connections used by lithium power batteries will be much less than that of lead-acid batteries and nickel-hydrogen batteries.

It provides design conditions, design space and possibility for more reasonable structure and more beautiful appearance. At present, due to the limitation of the volume and weight of lead-acid batteries, designers' design ideas are greatly restricted, which leads to the similar structure and appearance of electric bicycles at this stage, which is monotonous.

(4) The cycle life is long, and the number of cycles can reach 1000. If the capacity is kept at 60%, the number of charge and discharge cycles of battery 100% can reach more than 600 times, and the service life can reach 3-5 years, which is about 2-3 times that of lead-acid batteries. With the innovation of technology and the improvement of equipment, the battery life will be longer and longer, and the cost performance will be higher and higher. ?

(5) The spontaneous discharge rate is low, less than 5% per month.

(6) Wide allowable working temperature range and good low-temperature performance. Lithium power battery can work between -20℃ and +55℃, especially suitable for low temperature use. At low temperature, the performance of aqueous solution batteries (such as lead-acid batteries and nickel-hydrogen batteries) will be greatly reduced due to the poor fluidity of electrolyte.

(7) No memory effect, no need to discharge before each charge like Ni-Cd battery and Ni-MH battery, and it can be charged anytime and anywhere.
