Basic information: Tianjin Baodi Economic Development Area (TBEDA) was established in 2003. it was approved as a provincial-level development area by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in the sixth batch of audit in 2006. it was named as a model industrial park by Tianjin Municipality in 2009.

The overall planning area of Baodi Development Area is 50 square kilometers, and the current development area is 11 square kilometers. At present, the infrastructure construction has reached the standard of "nine passes and one leveling". That is: land leveling; roads, water supply, drainage, power supply, heating, natural gas, telephone, broadband network. These include: two substations of 35 and 110,000 kilovolts; a water supply plant with a daily supply of 8,000 tons; a sewage treatment plant with a daily treatment capacity of 10,000 tons; and the first centralized heating station of ground-source heat pumps in the north that has no pollution emission.
