Positioned as a pure electric coupe SUV, the new EC6 is based on the Azera ES6. In the exterior part, the new car's front face adopts the same design as ES6, and the X-Bar design language is not only highly recognizable, but also creates a very strong sense of technology.
The side of the body is the focus of the EC6, and the biggest difference between this model and the ES6. It adopts the sliding back coupe SUV design, coupe body design to shape both dynamic and elegant body proportion.
The main feature of the rear end is the sliding back modeling, and other details still maintain the design language of the ES6, such as the slender three-dimensional LED indicator lights, and the concave and convex rear trunk lid, all of which make the entire rear end look very distinctive. However, the visual effect of the entire rear tail is slightly high, compared to the side shape, lacks a trace of softness, if the later increase a small tail, the visual may be more outstanding.
Exterior details, its roof adopts an integrated dome-style glass roof, the double-layer high-strength tempered glass used, with a total area of ?2.1?square meters. The EC6 adopts Haptex and fabric-paneled seats for the first time, and with the new Himalayan Brown interior theme, the EC6 brings a stylish and cozy comfort experience. In addition, the EC6 comes standard with a Microfiber headliner and a Nappa leather sports steering wheel, as well as 9.8-inch ultra-narrow digital gauges, an 11.3-inch high-definition multi-touch center screen, and a premium surround sound system (featuring 12 speakers and six soundstage modes).
Power-wise, the Signature and Performance versions are equipped with a dual-motor intelligent four-wheel drive system consisting of a front 160kW permanent magnet motor + a rear 240kW induction motor, which delivers a peak power of 544bhp, a maximum torque of 725N-m, and a fastest acceleration from 0-100km/h of 4.5 seconds. The Sport model is equipped with front and rear 160kW?dual permanent magnet motors, and accelerates from 0-100km/h in up to 5.4 seconds.
In terms of range, Azera offers 70kWh and 100kWh battery packs for each version of the car, with the Sport model equipped with the 70kWh pack having a NEDC range of 430km, and the 100kWh pack having a range of 605km. The Performance and Signature models have a range of 70kWh and 100kWh, respectively.
