Why am I writing this article at this time?
In December, I accepted the Guangzhou Huangpu Marathon first aid runner's pre-competition training (the first and most formal pre-competition training I've ever received), and also participated in the event, for the process of participating in the race, plain and simple, there is nothing I want to talk about, but instead, I would like to introduce them properly to everyone, and also let myself recognize them properly.
First, the significance of the pattern on the back of the first aid uniform
The pattern on the back of the first aid uniform is called the "Star of Life", which is the international symbol of the Emergency Medical Services System (EMSS), and appears on ambulances, helicopters, ambulance equipment, and the uniforms of ambulance technicians.
Understanding the back of this pattern, we will understand the runners wearing first aid uniforms, what kind of responsibility they are carrying, and what a sacred group of people they are on the track!
Second, the significance of first aid runners
"Mobile first aid" is their value and significance, personal understanding, the word mobile is the most important. Therefore, every first aid runner has a few principles on the track: run at a steady pace, prioritize emergencies, and avoid the lesser of evils.
So, when you're on the track with a bellyache, leg pain, cramps and so on, and you see them passing you by, I hope you don't blame and complain, because these small problems don't conform to their first aid principles. In the non-essential case, they have to as far as possible have been on the track in accordance with the race organizing committee's speed arrangements running at a constant speed to keep all the first aid runners more evenly distributed dynamically throughout the track, to maximize the reasonable distribution of ambulance power, the first time to find serious injuries (mainly collapsed), and emergency treatment in a timely manner, steady handover of injuries to the paramedics and then continue to move forward.
In fact, they are only a role in the event's medical support system, behind them is a complete and strong medical support team, so every participant, please rest assured that you can enjoy the event, your various discomforts will be properly handled.
Conclusion
There are a lot of people with a medical background, but they don't necessarily have the ability to run long distance.
There are also many marathon runners, but not necessarily willing to be first aid runners.
They can only be them if they have first aid knowledge and the ability to run long distances and revere first aid.
Compared to the "rabbits", they are not dazzling, and seem to be calm and low-profile.
I'm a low-key, serious runner, and I love them and love being them.
The following is the Guangzhou Huangpu Half-Marathon 240 First Aid Group, which I am a member of, thank you for traveling with us all the way!
