Introduction of the First Hospital Affiliated to Hebei North College

The First Hospital Affiliated to Hebei North College was founded in 1939, which is a large-scale provincial-level, comprehensive, Grade 3A hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, and rehabilitation, with advanced medical equipments and leading technology.1 The hospital covers an area of more than 100,000 square meters, with a floor area of more than 140,000 square meters and a bed capacity of 1,300 beds. The hospital has 1,225 employees on duty, with 23 in the school program. Among them, 78% are health technicians, with 191 senior titles and 354 intermediate titles. There are 15 master's degree tutors and 4 specialists enjoying special government allowances. The hospital has set up 30 clinical departments, 17 medical and technical departments, 32 functional divisions; 19 inpatient wards, 30 teaching and research departments, 3 scientific research institutes and 12 professional and technical committees. The hospital has more than 400,000 outpatient visits and nearly 30,000 hospitalizations per year, and the radius of medical service covers the border areas of Hebei, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia. The hospital is also the first clinical medical school of Hebei North College, which undertakes more than 12,500 hours of classroom teaching each year, receives more than 1,000 master's degree students, undergraduates and other internships and trainees, receives more than 100 physicians for further training at home and abroad, and has trained more than 80 master's degree students in recent years.
