Inventor of FUE Technology

Dr. William R. Rassman, an internationally renowned hair transplantation expert with an excellent reputation in the international hair transplantation industry, together with Dr. Robert M. Bernstein, another renowned hair transplantation expert who also enjoys an excellent reputation, invented the most advanced and mainstream FUE and FUT hair transplantation techniques, which have an epoch-making significance in the world's hair transplantation history. Both technologies have epoch-making significance in the history of hair transplantation in the world.

Dr. Rassman received his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1966, and worked in the fields of orthopedics and cardiothoracic surgery, etc. In 1991, Dr. Rassman founded the New Hair Institute (NHI), which began to dedicate itself to hair transplantation research, and quickly became a global leader in hair transplantation technology. Along with his constant stream of technological innovations and equipment inventions, Dr. Rassman continues to set records for the number of hair transplants performed in a single surgery, becoming the first doctor in the world to perform 2,000, 3,000, and 4,000 transplants in a single unit.

In 1995, Dr. Rassman and Dr. Bernstein*** pioneered a new generation of hair transplantation technology -- The Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), which uses the Follicular Unit (FU) as the basic unit of follicular separation and implantation. This pioneering technique (including the use of a microscope to separate hair follicles) has since been proven to be the world's "gold standard" in hair transplantation technology, and is still irreplaceable!

In the summer of 2001, Dr. Rassman, who is an avid researcher of advanced hair transplantation techniques, first introduced an even more groundbreaking hair transplantation technique, Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE). As this technique continues to mature, hair transplantation is becoming a surgical procedure that does not require an incision.

Dr. Rassman is not only a physician, but also a renowned scientist and inventor, with more than 30 patents in the fields of clinical medicine, medical devices, and biotechnology, thirteen of which are related to hair transplantation. He has authored several monographs and dozens of professional papers published in more than a dozen prestigious medical journals around the world. The Patient's Guide to Hair Restoration, released in 2001, is now in its sixth edition, and in 2010, Dr. Rassman published a new book, Hair Loss & Replacement. Replacement.

In recognition of Dr. Rassman's achievements, the Vermont State Legislature presented him with the Governor's Award in 1976, the U.S. Department of the Interior presented him with the National Award in 1984, and the World Hair Transplant Association honored him in 2004 for his work in the field of hair transplantation technology. In 2004, the World Hair Transplant Association honored him with the Golden Follicle Award for his outstanding achievements in the field of hair transplantation technology.
