The piston assembly includes: piston, piston ring, support ring, piston rod and so on. According to the different forms of structure, the piston can be divided into cylinder piston (length than the diameter of large), disk piston (length than the diameter of small), cascade piston, combined piston and plunger piston.
The role of the piston rod is to connect the piston and the crosshead, transfer the force acting on the piston and drive the piston movement.
The basic requirements of the piston rod:
(1) adequate strength, stiffness and stability;
(2) good wear resistance and high machining accuracy and surface roughness requirements;
(3) in the structure to minimize the effect of stress concentration;
(4) to ensure that the connection is reliable, to prevent loosening;
() 5) The design of the piston rod structure should facilitate the disassembly and assembly of the piston.
