How to coach students' learning psychology

How to teach psychological counseling activities well

I am very happy to sit here and discuss with you how to have a good psychological counseling activity class. So far, there is no clear teaching material for psychological counseling in school education, and I am constantly studying and discussing it. Please forgive my shortcomings.

Psychological counseling activity class is also called mental health education activity class, which is developmental and preventive, and is an activity form for all students. Its characteristics are: to solve the problems in students' growth as the main line, to set activity objectives, to organize activity contents according to students' psychological needs and concerns, to focus on students' activities, to focus on students' psychological feelings and experiences, to aim at students' psychological development and growth, and to aim at students learning to help themselves and others.

Different from general subject courses, psychological counseling courses are not only the teaching of psychological knowledge, but also the cultivation of psychological quality. It pays attention to students' personal direct experience, and provides students with a relaxation buffer zone without the pressure of learning knowledge, where students can re-examine themselves, know themselves and accept themselves, and lay the foundation for better self-development. Nowadays, students' mental health has attracted more and more attention from society, schools and parents. In this new situation, our teachers are facing new challenges, that is, how to maintain students' mental health and how to cultivate and develop students' psychological quality. Good mental health activity class is one of the important ways for us to achieve this goal. So, how can we have a good psychological counseling activity class? Below I will talk about my views on the theme selection, goal setting, activity form and teaching design process of psychological activity class.

First, determine the theme of counseling.

It is very important to determine the theme, because the design of mental health education activity class should start with the course name. The theme of the course is the center or "soul" of a class. A good theme can attract students, make people think and trigger related thinking activities. Therefore, scientific and accurate topic selection is the prerequisite for the success of class psychological activity class. The content of psychological activity class should be determined according to the age characteristics of students and the specific situation of the class. Understand what students need, what their confusion is, what their sexual problems are and what their personality problems are. Only in this way can the design be targeted and students have something to say in class. There are three points to pay attention to when determining the theme: (1) Don't choose a single topic. I saw a survey on the theme selection of the national mental health education competition for primary and secondary schools on the Internet. Most people pay attention to emotions and interpersonal communication, and pay less attention to topics such as learning psychology, adaptation, network problems, weariness of learning and adolescence. Therefore, we should choose some topics that are in line with the characteristics of teenagers' psychological development, such as "growing feelings", "changeable emotions" and "eliminating misunderstandings". These topics are specific and easy to operate, and the classroom atmosphere is more active. (2) The scope of the topic should not be too large. Many psychological counseling teachers should seriously consider the scope of the theme and the capacity of the classroom when determining the theme, such as interpersonal communication, making the world full of love, living happily, knowing themselves, accepting themselves and so on. The scope of these topics is too large. The topic is too big, and it is difficult to complete the counseling task in one class. We can take it as a content and refine the theme in popular and accurate language after the content is determined. For example, counseling in interpersonal communication can be subdivided into specific topics such as "between classmates", "between teachers and students" and "communication with parents". The theme should be small, so that teachers and students can operate easily in the activities, achieve real experience and sentiment in the activities, and play a role in regulating psychology. (3) The content of the theme should not cause ambiguity. For example, if a teacher chooses the theme "Believe in yourself and gain a lot", then at the end of the remedial class, he will sum up and ask the students: "Students, what have you gained in this class!" A student replied, "This lesson tells us to believe in ourselves and not others." Therefore, when we determine the theme, we should consider whether the theme will cause students' misunderstanding, otherwise it will mislead students and make the counseling effect greatly reduced.

Second, set counseling goals.

The goal of counseling is the learning results that students will achieve through counseling activities, and the counseling process is carried out around the goal of counseling. The goal of counseling is the starting point and destination of counseling activities. After determining the theme, it is necessary to set practical goals closely around this theme. The design of the target should have the function of guidance and adjustment, and should be specific for easy operation. We should "know", "know" or "change" in cognition, "modify" or "change" in behavior and "experience" and "comprehend" in emotion. Secondly,' operability' is mainly reflected in the appropriateness of the goal, neither exceeding nor underestimating the age characteristics of students, and the pertinence of the goal should be very clear. "After a class, teachers often measure the quality of a class according to the goals you set, and see if your goals have been achieved in this class, and whether the goal setting depends on the theme. There are too many and too scattered counseling goals, which lack maneuverability.

For example, there is a tutorial with the theme of "Happiness is around me", and the psychological counseling teacher has set three goals: 1, so that students can feel the happiness around them and share the happiness together. 2. Several ways to understand, master, relieve and eliminate bad emotions 3. Help students to enhance their ability to control their emotions and form a positive psychological defense mechanism. These three goals constitute the content of three classes, and it is impossible to complete a remedial class. Therefore, in a psychological counseling class, the setting of counseling goals should not be too much, and the goals should be concentrated and not comprehensive. In addition, the goal setting should be hierarchical and deep. For example, in the lesson "Mood is changeable", the goal can be set as follows: to guide students to understand their mood changes preliminarily through activities; Help students understand that although emotions are complex and changeable, they can adjust themselves. These two goals are simple and clear, with strong operability and depth.
