About apple mint

Apple mint, also known as hairy mint and fragrant mint, is a variety of mint. Mainly grown in western Europe and the western Mediterranean, it is a perennial herb, mainly used for cooking and greening.

Mint, whose real name is "Yindancao", belongs to the Labiatae plant "Mint", which belongs to other dry whole grasses. Most of it was born by the wetland river in Shan Ye, and its roots are underground. The whole plant is green and fragrant. The leaves are opposite, the flowers are small lavender, lip-shaped, and the flowers are small and dark purple-brown. Mint is one of the commonly used Chinese medicines.

Mint likes sunny, warm and humid environment, and the frost-free period should be more than 200 days. The requirements for soil are not strict, except for heavy saline-alkali land, heavy clay land and sandy land, it can be planted, but fertile loam and sandy loam are better. Sunlight plays an important role in increasing the content of menthol and peppermint oil, especially in the period of pregnancy and bud flowering, so mint should not be planted in a cool place.
