What is reproductive health service?

With the continuous progress and development of society, the medical model has developed from a simple biomedical model to a bio-psychological-social medical model. In the past, maternal and child health care/family planning medical care services focusing on biomedical fields could not fully meet people's needs for physical, psychological and social health services. Since 1990s, the concept of reproductive health has been put forward internationally. 1994 The definition of reproductive health was formally adopted at the Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) held in Cairo, and governments were required to achieve the action goal of "access to reproductive health services for all" by 2005. The Government of China promised to implement the ICPD Action Plan, carry out reproductive health planning in an all-round way, and start reproductive health/family planning quality service projects to improve the reproductive health level of women in China.
