Understand "depth control";

Instead, Tenno will have a "depth control", which they will take with them to install three familiar avionics in each channel starship mission. The combat/tactical mode will remain the same, but it is customized for you and can be used when you board a starship on any channel. The integrated Mod will be separated like an armored mod. Personal Mod slot that is only beneficial to you personally and aura Mod that is beneficial to channel starship and the whole team. Deep-controlled aura Mod will directly enter the designated aura slot, similar to the mod on your armor!

We hope that when we return to the familiar interface of installing Mod, it will help to reduce the learning curve of new players. Switching to personal Mod configuration should also make the game experience more consistent, including the setting of public collocation.

In order to increase convenience, the depth control can be modified in many places: in your dry dock terminal (as before), in the new dry dock of each relay station (which can be reached by fast moving), and even in your own orbiter!

Dirac core to core

Since avionics is now regarded as an ordinary Mod, Dirac core (the upgrade resource of avionics) will be transformed into an internal core to obtain a more cohesive upgrade experience. All Dirac cores spent on your cells will be repaid (that is, if your cells reach the maximum, up to 39,000 Dirac cores can be converted into internal cores), and all existing Dirac core stocks will be converted into internal cores at the ratio of 65,438+0: 65,438+0 when you log in at 29.10.

Endogenous force 2.0

Now, enter the endogenous power part! First, when you log in, you need to reset all your internal forces! Because we have changed a lot of content, we want to make sure that every player can use their inner strength in new ways. The table contains all the details of the internal force you know, but we will also add the internal force of the command! The final version of endogenous power will appear in update 29. 10.0!

Once you upgrade the internal force of the headquarters and provide space for the crew, it's time to visit Ticker in Fortuna. She can help you get in touch with all kinds of people from all corners of the map at the right rental price! Their price may depend on your cooperation with some groups-some crew members will join your team at a discounted price, while others will double it! Your group alliance decides everything. In the case of less than four people, the crew will help maintain the normal operation of the channel starship. That is to say-if Amano can't finish the task independently, your crew will help you! Each crew member can be recruited once permanently, but if you want to have more than three crew members, you need to buy more crew members through the store or "cancel the contract" with one crew member. It should be noted that the full command (10) internal force is not available at the time of release, because we are still developing the "elite" crew function, and its core function has undergone a copy.

Improve their skills and assign them specific roles before taking off, or change their tasks at any time through the tactical menu! As always, the crew will get experience values, which can be used as "ability points" to improve their talents. In addition, the remonstrated red poison skeletons can be used as the crew of the channel starship as a defense force, because their health value is extremely high, so it is difficult to be defeated.

Since the changes in health and armor can no longer be applied to the channel starship itself, this component determines the health and armor of your ship.

Matching pattern change

Once your course starship and depth control are set, it's time to find a mission. We use this opportunity to simplify the matching mechanism of the channel starship and better follow the rules of the main game modes. In the past, the host player needed to start the mission from his own channel starship (Liset or dry dock). Now, clicking on a node without an open team in the regular star map will start your own task as a host, instead of popping up a window showing that you can't join the team and asking you to go to the dock (or the back of the orbiter).

What will be different in the mission?

When you first set foot on the Channel Starship, you may notice some key differences.

The left and right batteries behind the cockpit no longer exist, but are replaced by the turret entrance at the top and the turret entrance at the bottom of the channel starship. This makes the 360-degree rotation more reasonable and can improve the feeling of aiming when moving, because by default, you are aiming at the direction of the channel starship.

Back to the channel starship, there used to be a large clearing with several floors, the top of which was connected with the catapult of the channel starship, followed by the cargo hold. This area basically no longer exists-all the important functions of the channel starship are compressed into a smaller space to reduce the transit time between stations.

Back in the cockpit, you choose a task node, starting from the dry dock. After arriving in the star area, the channel starship will be lighter and more mobile than before, which not only improves the basic speed of the channel starship, but also cancels the boost energy bar of the channel starship! The pilot can't fire when the booster is flying, but now it is easier to reach the mission target quickly. We added some cooling time to the drift action to balance the removal of the booster stick, but we can still use it more frequently than before!

Open the Tactics menu, and you will find that the current minimap is static, which is the demand of most players. Crew members will also appear at the bottom of the menu, and you can observe their positions or give new orders.

Now, bullets, missiles and fighter planes are advancing rapidly in fierce battles. You aim at a group of Corpus fighters, deploy your personal avionics skills, and then oh no! Someone used up all the flux energy!

If you have encountered this situation before, please don't worry. Starting from this update, each player will have the starship load of all channels respectively. From general consumables to dome energy bombs, you only need to pay attention to your own load consumption. These consumables will also slowly replenish themselves over time, so the Channel Starship will always be fully loaded before leaving the dry dock. At the critical moment, creating more loads in the cargo hold will replenish all Tenno stocks on board, so dedicated engineers can still have a significant impact on gameplay. This is the best!

Another important change in energy management needs to be noted-as a configuration from channel starship-based avionics to player-based, combat/tactical skills will consume armor energy, and flux energy will be completely removed from the game (all avionics related to it will be converted into internal core). This enables players with existing energy supply to make better use of these props in regular channel starship games, thus further integrating the two aspects of the game. Now, let's talk about reactors. They exist to bring you avionics and flux capabilities. Now that these two things have been removed, the new function of the reactor is to provide strength, range or duration gain for the channel starship combat avionics used on the ship!

The cost and function of avionics will be rebalanced through this new energy management. Our updated instructions will explain the specific information later, because we are still actively adjusting the balance.

The channel starship fault/accident system has also been updated, which will not directly affect the health or shield of the channel starship!

_ Catastrophic accidents will cause damage to all players on board until they are repaired.

_ Icy accidents can now freeze the interactive elements of the Channel Starship: the driver's seat, forging factory, arch catapult and turret.

Unified injury type

Starship Battle in the Straits inherits many familiar types of combat damage, but they are different. Impact becomes trajectory, freezing becomes frost, and so on. We are deleting the damage types of the second-tier channel starships to unify them, and making the core elements of the system: Warframe based on what players spend time learning. This means:

Frost = freezing

Ion = electric shock

Combustion = flame

Chemistry = toxin

Node change

The current channel starship mission nodes are distributed on Earth, Saturn and proxima centauri. They give players a choice, but there is no really meaningful choice. The only choice is the outpost-or other node that puts the required equipment. Then in the end, what is it? Players will only play a small number of nodes, and many channel starship task nodes are ignored. We are making some changes, deleting some existing Grineer nodes, and making the channel starship develop in a healthy direction. This includes deleting the Ji 'an point. This decision is not hasty, but we think it is a necessary step to improve the diversity of tasks. We basically put the advantages of Ji 'an point (a task that can be quickly brushed and rewarded with high experience) into the goal of the channel starship itself, so that the diversity of content is not just repeated on one node. Proxima centauri's joining will bring many new tasks (not just "Outpost"! )。 We will also add the Corpus mission to the deep space of proxima centauri.

What can we continue to play?

Corpus channel starship is here! These flying robots and crew will greatly expand the map of proxima centauri-three new planets (Venus, Neptune and Pluto proxima centauri) will join new enemies and new points of interest. Proxima centauri will also add the most difficult Corpus Strait starship mission.

We will also enrich the existing mission types, and strive to further combine the experience of the channel starship with the conventional war games.

Some of these new mission types are already familiar to everyone-classic defense and annihilation missions occasionally become the main targets of channel starship missions. Team up to enter the capital ship and withdraw the channel starship after completing the task.

We will also add two new task types! The first one is called Aoying, and everyone who has participated in the "Poison of Aoying" activity is familiar with it-killing intruders with feelings and using commanders and death mecha to avoid the virtual energy pulse field. These tasks no longer drop tokens, but directly drop empowerment as an alternative to night hunting.

The second is a brand-new mission type, called explosion, which will provide the means to destroy the capital ship. Help the central Cy use the environment from the inside to cause reactor failure, and at the same time confront the engineers who came to stop you!

What will happen next?

Netherstorm and the ruins!

Different from our original plan, we can't release netherstorm in this update due to a lot of changes and new contents of the new channel starship. But it doesn't matter. Thematically, the real netherstorm belongs to Update 30: Call of the Storm, which is based on netherstorm in many ways. When netherstorm really arrives, they will provide Amano with an opportunity to use the void relics in the Straits starship mission! They will be the rotation of various tasks, just like the empty cracks in the ordinary star map, but they are much bigger and the storms are more violent.

Of course, the story behind netherstorm and more will be revealed soon.

Update 30: Call of the Storm

All the work of updating 29. 10.0 is to prepare for updating 30: Call of the Storm. Updating 30 will bring Sevagoth an iconic armor series mission, expose a new enemy, and so on. We plan to release this update on the whole platform at the same time! So although update 29. 10.0 will log on to the PC platform first, update 30 will bring these contents and Sevagoth to the host platform at one time.

Corpus Mystery, also known as Queenpin, is still planned to be released in a future independent update. Similar to "Update 30.5". However, the updated version number in quotation marks may change.

This is the last part of this developer seminar. Reading this means that you have officially read our longest developer workshop article so far, which may also be the most drastic systematic change we have made to Warframe since Update 7: Storm Messenger eight years ago. What's going on here? Eight years later, how do we find ourselves still undergoing "drastic system changes"? This is a difficult question to answer, and this developer workshop is long enough. The short answer is this:

It is difficult to make Warframe. It's harder to do Warframe well. We try-and then try more things. It needs to be constantly transformed, re-examined and rebuilt. The state of the Channel Starship when it was released is far from perfect, but Warframe is always expected in the future. We tried to remake it last year, but it wasn't deep enough. This time is indeed a fundamental change of the channel starship. And this is brand-new content. Unified content. The combination of Warframe core gameplay and channel starship. The combination of death mecha and Warframe core gameplay. Now everything is connected. But the most important thing is to connect Tenno who witnessed every iteration, and give us understanding and feedback to tell us how to do better. Or at least, it's not that bad.
