A Book Review 25

Before that, I had a year's time to read about diet in dribs and drabs, such as enzymes, rejuvenation yoga, skipping rope, enzyme fruit and vegetable juice to make you young 10, real source medicine. To tell the truth, I am very skeptical about the eating habits I have developed since I was a child, but Rome was not built in a day. I just tried a little every time this year, and my eating habits haven't changed much. When I heard the book "Cereal Brain" when I was studying in Fan Deng, I felt that the author's point of view was very different. I really wanted to know what research he had done and what conclusions he had drawn, so I bought a book to read.

The bread, noodles and steamed bread you eat will make you sick!

Yes, all foods containing gluten and high carbohydrate will make you have a high incidence of Alzheimer's disease. OMG, what else can I eat?

When I was a child, my eating habits were like this: the concept of "being able to eat is a blessing" instilled in me by my elders, and there should be no leftovers in the bowl, so I have to eat when I die; Steamed bread is 100 times more delicious than sweet potato. I want to eat it hard. Every time my mother steams a pot of steamed bread, I can eat a big piece in one breath. Every holiday, I will buy many kinds of sweets at home, and I will eat them happily, so now I have a bad tooth and am addicted to sweets. If I don't eat them for a while, I will lose my mind. Eating less meat will make you fat. ...

These eating habits run counter to the ideas in this book, which caught me off guard. Instinctively, I threw away the book-so that I could pretend that I didn't know how to continue eating and drinking, but every time I was full, I felt guilty, which I didn't feel before I watched Cereal Brain. Last night, I saw someone leave a message in Mr. Fan Deng's Weibo, and mentioned this book again, saying that the author was full of nonsense, which was controversial abroad and the references were irrelevant, huh? Can you untie yourself with this? I found this book again this morning and read the rest of the chapters.

I gave it to Samsung, not to make it explode like note7, but to think that this book has many merits.

First of all, the author is sincere.

He is a neurologist. Every time he treats a patient, he has to test whether the patient has gluten allergy, and the result makes him dumbfounded. All patients diagnosed with gluten allergy have obvious relief after insisting on gluten-free diet adjustment, so the author deeply studies the study of gluten on human brain.

Secondly, this book triggered my reflection.

Now, my grandmothers are getting older and weaker. Some have diabetes, some have stomach cancer and some have Alzheimer's disease, but almost no one has died. Can I doubt that this has something to do with our eating habits? Even if it doesn't matter, is my health? Don't you need to adjust? Continue to infect my children and grandchildren?

Again, stick to your point.

This book puts forward improvement plans from three sections: diet, sleep and exercise. The most controversial part is diet. The author tells us to give up sweets, gluten and high carbohydrates, and advocates that we eat meat, eggs, fatty foods and foods containing cholesterol. This is quite different from most of the existing "healthy recipes" on the market. No wonder it was hacked. Most people are afraid of change and others say they are wrong, including myself, and so are their initial reactions. This book shows me the weakness of my own humanity.

Third, prevention is greater than cure.

At present, the medical level can't completely treat terrible diseases such as diabetes and Alzheimer's disease. Why not face the author's research with the mentality that prevention is greater than cure, and try the gluten-free diet suggestion recommended by the author?

Finally, the author's suggestions on sleep and fitness are very pertinent.

He suggested that we live a regular life, go to bed at a fixed point, eliminate factors that interfere with sleep, and use drugs with caution; He suggested that we make a fitness plan for ourselves and do sweaty aerobic exercise every day.

In addition, the author also mentioned fasting, suggesting that it is best to arrange fasting four times a year to detoxify the body.

In this way, if I don't want to be harassed by those terrible diseases in the future, it is necessary to try a gluten-free diet plan. As for what others say, that's someone else's business.
