1. Aviary preparation: prepare a spacious, warm and well-ventilated aviary for the pearl birds, and provide enough habitats, nesting boxes and water sources in it. Ensure that the aviary is kept dry and clean to promote the healthy reproduction of birds.
2. Bird selection: Buy healthy and young pearl birds. Generally speaking, a pair of adult birds are more likely to reproduce successfully. Ensure that male and female birds cooperate with each other and have reproductive ability.
3. Feed and nutrition: provide high-quality feed and drinking water. Pearl birds mainly feed on seeds, supplemented by some fruits and vegetables, insects and eggs. Keep the feed fresh and dry to prevent mildew.
4. Breeding environment: provide the environment needed for pearl birds to breed. Make sure the temperature is right, usually between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. Provide proper lighting, pearl birds have high requirements for lighting. Provide enough nest boxes and tender perches to provide suitable breeding places for birds.
5. Reproductive behavior: When birds show signs of reproductive behavior, increase the supply of feed and drinking water. Observing the interaction between male and female birds, such as flapping their wings and singing, shows that they are ready to mate and lay eggs.
6. Incubation and feeding: Pearl birds usually lay eggs in the nest box, while females hatch eggs and males are responsible for protecting the nest. Make sure to give young birds enough feed and water, create a safe environment and keep the birdhouse clean.
