Body odor is invisible, but you can smell the sweat secreted by sweat glands, which is easy to occur in summer, sweating under your armpits, and there is a slight body odor. After bathing, external help can be relieved or eliminated.
Western medicine believes that a cold is catarrhal inflammation of the upper respiratory tract caused by rhinovirus, which can occur in all seasons. People with low body resistance, malnutrition, fatigue and fear of cold are prone to get sick. The patient has symptoms such as sore throat or itching, dry hair, stuffy nose, runny nose, sneezing, coughing and fatigue. Influenza is a respiratory disease caused by highly contagious virus, which has serious systemic symptoms. In addition to the above symptoms, patients will also have headaches, fever, limb aches, loss of appetite and other symptoms. If it is a gastrointestinal cold, patients will also have gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea and vomiting. At present, western medicine has no specific medicine for colds, but generally only symptomatic treatment.
Syndrome differentiation and classification
Traditional Chinese medicine believes that this disease is mostly caused by exogenous wind evil, often mixed with cold, heat, dampness, dryness, summer heat and fire. In addition, Chinese medicine believes that colds occur in different seasons, and their manifestations in the human body will be different due to different seasonal pathogens, such as the temperature in spring, the dryness in summer, and the dryness in autumn. Therefore, there are many syndromes of colds in traditional Chinese medicine, and the treatment methods are not the same.
Common cold due to wind-cold mostly occurs in winter, and its clinical symptoms are aversion to cold (fear of cold), mild fever, anhidrosis, headache, stuffy nose and runny nose, heavy voice, itchy throat, cough, white and thin sputum, sore limbs, thin white and wet tongue coating and floating pulse.
Wind-heat colds mostly occur in spring and summer, and the clinical symptoms are mild aversion to cold, sore throat, yellow cough, thirst, excessive sweating, white and dry fur and floating pulse.
Summer-dampness colds mostly occur in the summer rainy season, and the clinical symptoms are high fever, heavy head, depressed mood, nausea, heavy body and limb fatigue, chest tightness and abdominal distension, yellow urine and white greasy fur. The pulse is slow.
Cold due to autumn dryness mostly occurs in autumn, and its clinical symptoms are fever, slight aversion to wind and cold, dry cough or cough with less phlegm, less sweating, dry throat and nose, thirst, rapid pulse and red tongue.
The cold must be treated symptomatically, the syndrome differentiation should be accurate, and then the food corresponding to the syndrome should be selected.
