Instructions for use of BMW 1 series lighting

Only when the vehicle is in the ignition state can the lighting operation be carried out. The turn signal is controlled by the light pole (or key) on the left side of the steering wheel, and the headlights, marker lights and other lights are controlled by the light control knob on the left side of the driver's seat.

1. Turn signal and stop light

Just turn the knob at the top of the lamp post to switch between different lighting modes, but this operation needs to be carried out in the ignition state.

① Function of the left turn signal: Turn on the left turn signal after the control lever rotates downward.

② Turn on the right turn signal: Turn the light control lever upward to turn on the right turn signal.

Gently move the steering wheel, and the side indicator light will automatically go out after flashing for three times.

2. High beam and instantaneous opening function of high beam

③ Turn on the high beam: first turn the light knob to the low beam position, and then push the light control lever forward to turn on the high beam.

④ Instantaneous turn-on function of high beam: After turning on the headlights, it is a good warning means to pull back the pole once to activate the alternation of high beam and low beam.

At this point, the dashboard can see that the high beam lights up.

The fog lights are on.

The fog light switch is next to the light control knob, which can be turned on by pressing it.

4, automatic headlights, low beam lights, width indicator lights.

Auto-turn on headlights can be set in the central control. Turn the light control button in turn, and turn on the width indicator, automatic headlight and low beam in turn.

5. Headlight cleaning

After turning on the headlights, turn on the glass water switch to spray the headlights. If you just want to clean the glass and don't want to clean the headlights, then turn off the headlights.

6. Adaptive headlamps (some models)

Open mode: Press the light graphic button with the letter A on the left joystick of the steering wheel.

(1) Adaptive headlights can adjust the headlight height according to the turning angle and speed. When the steering angle exceeds a certain value, the adaptive headlight will be turned on. And only when the speed does not exceed 70 km/h can it work normally.

② More advanced adaptive headlights will be equipped with light intensity sensors. When night comes, the lighting system recognizes the light of the opposite car and will switch the light from the high beam to the low beam.
