Founded in 1922, monthly. It is a rich family magazine that can arouse widespread public interest. The story articles it involves cover many fields such as health, ecology, government, international affairs, sports, tourism, science, commerce, education, humor and jokes.
1938 Reader's Digest was published in Britain. During World War II, Latin American and Swedish editions were added.
Later, Reader's Digest was further extended to Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, South Africa and Switzerland.
The international Chinese version of Reader's Digest was published in March, 1965. The first editor-in-chief was Mrs. Lin Taiyi, the daughter of Mr. Lin Yutang, a literary master. The traditional Chinese version is sold in Hongkong and Taiwan Province. Simplified Chinese version is issued in Malaysia and Singapore.
From 65438 to 0998, Reader's Digest Company actively explored the feasibility of publishing in China.
In June 2004, Reader's Digest Company and Shanghai Press and Publication Bureau announced the establishment of a long-term publishing cooperation relationship.
From June 5438 to October 2008, the first issue of Reader's Digest was listed in China. As the control of the magazine belongs to Shanghai Press and Publication Development Company, the name of the magazine was changed to Puzhi.
