Why does CUHK always recruit people to benefit farmers?

1. Aquaculture needs manpower to participate in making feeding, management and production plans. However, the breeding, growth and feeding of animals need operators, and they need on-site supervision at all times to ensure the healthy growth of animals, so that farms can ensure normal production and sales. Therefore, recruiting people all the year round is a necessary demand of aquaculture.

2. Aquaculture is a labor-intensive industry. In addition to the care of animals, it also includes the maintenance and repair of various equipment, such as feed conveyors, feed storage bins and other equipment that need manual maintenance. Therefore, farms need to recruit technicians and maintenance workers to ensure the normal operation of various equipment, as well as emergency maintenance and repair.

3. Aquaculture is a seasonal industry. For example, spring is the peak season for breeding and slaughter in spring, summer is the peak season for elimination and sales, autumn is the season for stocking and feed storage, and winter is the season for stocking and adjusting production. Breeding industry needs to carry out reasonable production and marketing plans in different seasons, and the workload and production plan in each season are different. Therefore, farms need to constantly recruit people to meet the production needs of each season and adjust production plans to ensure the normal operation of aquaculture.
