First, cry
Newborn babies cry because they need oxygen when they are in their mother's stomach, and their lungs haven't started working yet. When babies come into this world, they must learn to breathe by themselves. In the process of crying, the baby will open his lungs because of the impact of gas. In addition, they may vent their emotions by crying because they are not adapted to the external environment and are afraid. Therefore, the louder the baby cries, the healthier it is. If he doesn't cry normally, the doctor may force him to cry by stimulating him. Usually premature babies or newborns with relatively low voices have developmental defects, which must be diagnosed through more detailed examination.
Second, weight.
The average newborn's weight is between 5 kg and 8 kg. If the child weighs less than 5 kg and more than 8 kg after birth, it may be necessary to go to the incubator for observation. Newborns are usually underweight and their lungs are immature, but this does not mean that the heavier the better. Some children are very big, and it is easy to cause a series of problems such as dystocia and intrauterine hypoxia during childbirth. It can be seen that pregnant mothers must control their weight and baby's growth during pregnancy.
Third, the expected delivery date.
Pregnant mothers will have an assessment of the expected date of delivery when they declare, which is measured by the ovulation time of women. Although it's not the exact date, it won't make much difference. If the delivery time is advanced or delayed for more than two weeks, the doctor needs further examination. Generally, those who are earlier than 37 weeks will be judged as premature babies.
