Management of accompanying personnel during epidemic situation

1. Run education well

When formulating the system, the object bound by the system must fully understand the content of the system, otherwise, the perfect system clauses will be useless.

At the moment when the epidemic is sporadic and irregular, what we can do is to minimize the risk of infection. Therefore, the hospital requires that those who cannot be accompanied should not be accompanied, and those who can be accompanied by one person should not be accompanied by two people. In addition, all nursing staff should be tested for nucleic acid. Medical staff must see the nucleic acid results before they can apply for accompanying wristbands for their families.

However, in clinical work, because the wristband buckle can be untied and removed without violence, if the doorman is slightly negligent, other family members will bring wristbands that are not their own into the ward. Without the knowledge of the nursing staff, these family members entering the ward will obviously increase the infection risk of all staff in the ward.

Therefore, in their daily work, nurses must do a good job in health education around these regulations in the hospital during the epidemic period, trying to make them realize from the perspective of their families that the hospital has formulated these regulations to create a good and safe environment for inpatients and their families, so that patients and their families can wait for the recovery of their illness without worries.

For health education, nurses should repeatedly emphasize during the whole hospitalization period, so that family members can feel the tense atmosphere of epidemic prevention and control, so as to achieve the purpose of conscious observation.

2. Fasten the wrist strap as much as possible to reduce the chance of free disassembly.

If the wristband worn by family members is not fastened, it is likely that others will easily take it off and borrow it. Therefore, when nurses distribute wristbands to patients' families, they should fasten them in person to reduce the chance of taking them off easily.

3. Check the information repeatedly

Since we know that sometimes fish in troubled waters will happen, we should check the ID card, nucleic acid results and wristband information repeatedly after work and during rounds every day to achieve "three unifications" and avoid the mixing of non-accompanying personnel.

4. Make floor control.

Human wisdom is infinite, and this infinity is always interpreted incisively and vividly at an important moment. The management process of family members in epidemic prevention and control is such a process of wits and wits.

In the case that the gate of the hospital building cannot be foolproof, only the second floor control can reduce the mixing of unknown family members.

Therefore, at the door of each floor, there is a janitor, whose job is no easier than that of other nurses who keep running. His job is to verify the identity of every family member who enters the ward to ensure that the owner of the wristband is the escort himself.

In order to ensure the floor control of each time period, the hospital also installed visual access control for each floor, so that even if the doorman has something to leave temporarily, the family members will not go in and out at will.

5. When the patient leaves the hospital, the wristband should be recovered and destroyed in time.

In order to let one more person in the family come to the hospital to see a doctor, family members can brainstorm and try their best.

Some family members will take the wristbands of discharged patients and accompanying nurses as their own in various ways, and try to get away with it when the hospital is busy and the controllers are too busy.

Therefore, we have repeatedly stressed that when patients leave the hospital and go home, they must take back their wristbands and destroy them to prevent other family members from picking them up and reusing them.
