What should I do if my health certificate expires?

Legal analysis: The health certificate has expired and will be reissued. The general health certificate is valid for one year, and must be reissued after the expiration. Engaged in food production and management, public services, cosmetics, disposable medical care products and other professional production, toxic and hazardous and radioactive operations, child care institutions and conservation of these five industries must hold health certificates.

Legal basis: Article 45 of the Food Safety Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), food producers and business operators shall establish and implement the health management system for employees. Persons suffering from diseases that hinder food safety as stipulated by the administrative department of health of the State Council shall not engage in direct contact with imported food.

Food production and marketing personnel engaged in direct contact with imported food shall undergo annual health examination and obtain health certificates before taking up their posts.
