Zunyi Medical College is the first medical undergraduate college founded by the Communist Party of China (CPC) after the victory of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. It is a university jointly established by the National Health and Wellness Committee and the People's Government of Guizhou Province, a pilot university of excellent doctor education and training program, and a first-class discipline project in Guizhou Province.
The school was founded in 1947, formerly known as Kanto Medical College. 1949, Kanto Medical College was merged into Dalian University and renamed Dalian Medical College. 1969, in order to support the third-line construction, the school moved south to Zunyi, and was renamed Zunyi Medical College in 20 18. Zunyi Medical College has three campuses: Xinpu Campus, Dalian Road Campus and Zhuhai Campus, covering an area of 25 15 mu, of which Xinpu Campus is the main campus, and most of the dormitories are four rooms with separate bathrooms.
