Full-stack self-developed automatic driving system
In terms of autonomous driving, Volvo adopts a full-stack self-developed perceptual fusion system, and the algorithm comes from Zenseact, a wholly-owned subsidiary, specializing in autonomous driving schemes. Including 600+ engineers, through the analysis of real collision accident data, it is included in the intelligent AI algorithm training.
In terms of configuration, the lidar equipped outside the car is the earliest lidar scheme jointly developed by Luminar, Volvo's investment incubation company. The farthest detection distance is 600 meters, and the layman 250 meters ahead can be detected at night, which is equivalent to 7.5 seconds when driving at a speed of 120 km.
Intelligent cockpit to achieve three major safety.
The intelligent cockpit in the car includes three aspects. The safety level is equipped with DUS driver perception system to solve the problem of making drivers concentrate as much as possible and always pay attention to safety. The dual camera layout in the driver's seat can accurately identify the driving state and perceive it from multiple angles. The 2-megapixel 60-frame infrared camera can clearly capture the picture no matter how fast it flashes.
Capacitive steering wheel can accurately identify hand movements and prevent human deception. Step-by-step three-level reminder, keep the lane, slow down and stop while ensuring safety and take the initiative to call for help. At the same time, in order to ensure the user's data security, the whole system can destroy the data immediately after getting off the bus to prevent privacy leakage.
At the operation level of vehicle and engine, the interactive design of the 3-second principle is realized, and the operation time is shortened with a shorter operation path, so that the driving safety risk is minimized. The interface scene bar design will provide different functions in an orderly manner according to the different state of the vehicle and the owner's car habits.
The cabin environment adopts imported SSD water-soluble sprayable damping, noise reduction and sound insulation materials, which can realize high-temperature exposure and no odor. The internal materials have reached the level of baby contact, providing a healthy and insensitive space.
Improve the safety space of the car body
EX90 adopts a new generation of cage body structure, and the overall torsional stiffness of the body is increased by 50% compared with the previous generation. In high-speed collision, the optimized body structure can ensure that the battery pack does not participate in energy absorption and realize zero deformation of the battery. At the same time, the BMS battery management system developed by the whole stack can cut off the power supply within 3 milliseconds and reduce the risk of spontaneous combustion of trams.
