Dietary nutrient reference intake (DRIs) is a set of average daily dietary nutrient intake reference values based on recommended dietary allowance in daily diet, including:
(1) average requirement (EAR): refers to the average requirement of individuals for a certain nutrient in a certain gender, age and physiological state group.
(2) Recommended Intake (RNI): refers to the intake level that can meet 97% ~ 98% of individual needs in a certain group of gender, age and physiological conditions, which is equivalent to the traditional daily recommended dietary allowance (RDA).
(3) Appropriate intake (AI): refers to the intake of a certain nutrient by healthy people through observation or experiment.
(4) Maximum tolerable intake (UL): refers to the maximum average daily intake of nutrients.
