Hello, audience friends! This is CCTV's live program "The Road to Health". Today, we are going to talk about why the nose is red.

Moderator: Let's look at a photo first. We can see that the old man's nose is obviously red and a little swollen. This situation is what we usually call rosacea. Is rosacea related to drinking?

Chen Yong: Drinking alcohol really plays a very important role in the etiology of rosacea. The reason why Chinese medicine calls this disease rosacea is because it has a certain relationship with diet, especially long-term drinking. On the other hand, rosacea develops to the end, and its nose is purple, swollen and rough, which looks like rosacea, so its image is named rosacea. The name of Chinese medicine is based on the characteristics of this disease. Chinese medicine believes that people who drink alcohol are prone to rosacea, but it does not mean that all people who drink alcohol must have rosacea. People who don't drink can also get rosacea, because there are many reasons for rosacea.

Moderator: How did Western medicine know each other?

Chen Yong: Western medicine believes that this disease is based on local sebum overflow, accompanied by motor nerve disorder of capillaries, that is, inflammation and redness caused by telangiectasia and congestion. This change in translation refers to the naming of this disease by ancient Chinese medicine, so generally speaking, western medicine also calls this disease rosacea, and some are called rose acne.

Qu Jianhua: rosacea has a great relationship with mite infection, which plays an important role in the pathogenesis of rosacea, but it is not the only factor. There are many other reasons. Acari is folliculitis, a microorganism parasitic on normal human skin. When human sebum overflows, mites will multiply more. The metabolites of mites mixed with sebum can stimulate skin inflammation, and some people have redness and rash on their faces, which is the manifestation of folliculitis infection.

Moderator: Mites are actually a normal microorganism on the surface of human skin. Why do most people have no problems with their faces, and some people have rosacea?

Chen Yong: rosacea is related to susceptible factors, including:

Who is prone to rosacea?

1, often drinks and likes spicy and greasy food.

2. There are more women than men in people over middle age.

3. People with familial genetic susceptibility.

According to our statistics, the ratio of male to female patients with rosacea can reach 3: 1. The reason why there are far more female patients than male patients is not clear. Our analysis may be related to endocrine. Generally, the incidence rate of female patients is relatively high before and after menopause, and the onset age of male patients is relatively early, sometimes even reaching puberty in advance. Although the number of male patients is small, it is often male patients who are seriously ill.

Moderator: Let's look at the situation of a patient. "Once 1998 went to the countryside to play, and the wind was very strong. A lot of rashes broke out on my face the next night, and I didn't care at that time. Later, my face was red and uncomfortable, even my menstruation was not good, and I often postponed it. My face is getting redder and redder and my nose is redder. "

Qu Jianhua: The onset of rosacea is the result of a combination of internal and external factors, which has caused the disorder of facial skin, blood vessels and motor nerves, which may be related to the changes in her environment.

Other inducing factors of rosacea

1, environmental factors: cold and hot stimulation.

2, gastrointestinal dysfunction: indigestion, constipation, diarrhea.

3, endocrine disorders: menstrual disorders or menopause.

4. Infection focus: inflammation of tonsils, teeth and sinuses.

5, skin infection: bacteria, mites and other infections.

6. Mental factors: nervousness, anxiety and depression.

Now some studies have found that the infection of Helicobacter pylori also plays an important role in the pathogenesis of rosacea, and the treatment against Helicobacter pylori has a good effect on rosacea. Helicobacter pylori is a common pathogen such as gastritis and duodenal lesions, so it has a certain relationship with gastrointestinal diseases. Therefore, the incidence of rosacea is caused by many factors, not a single factor.

Chen Yong: The physical pain caused by rosacea is not great, but it grows in the middle of the face, red and rash, which really seriously affects the patient's appearance and brings great mental stress to the patient. This psychological adverse effect will aggravate the condition of rosacea.

Moderator: Can rosacea be cured? Is there any way?

Qu Jianhua: rosacea can be cured, and it can also be cured, but I hope everyone can choose the best treatment opportunity and use drugs in regular hospitals under the guidance of doctors. The earlier the treatment, the better the effect. Let's look at the development of rosacea. First of all, a typical manifestation of erythema in the early stage is that the nose is as red as blood. This red color is temporary at first, and it will not fade easily after a long time. The other picture is a typical five-point distribution map of the face (forehead, nasal septum, nasal circumference, jaw and cheek). As shown in the figure, it further develops into the papule pustule stage, that is, the second stage. You can see that the acne on your face is uneven and the bloodshot is more obvious. The further development is the rhinoplasty stage, the shape is terrible, the nose has been deformed, and it is difficult to recover after treatment at this stage. Therefore, rosacea must be treated early.

Chen Yong: Rosacea is a chronic disease. It takes several years to develop from the earliest erythema stage to the rhinoplasty stage, and some even take decades. Therefore, patients have enough time for treatment after illness.

Moderator: What are the treatments?

Chen Yong: We mainly treat with traditional Chinese medicine and adopt the method of combining traditional Chinese and western medicine. For example, oral western medicine is generally vitamin B, which can regulate sebaceous gland secretion and reduce inflammation. Antibiotics can also be used to treat rosacea infection, and some drugs that kill hair follicles and resist bacteria can also reduce inflammation and make skin lesions better. External western medicine is also treated with some degreasing, anti-inflammatory and insecticidal drugs, or some prepared external drugs. The treatment methods of traditional Chinese medicine are very rich. Traditional Chinese medicine has been used to treat rosacea for a long time, and good results have been achieved. So far, we still use herbal tea water and vegetable oil to adjust the affected area of skin lesions in many Chinese medicine hospitals, which has good degreasing, insecticidal, anti-inflammatory and erythema-eliminating effects. In recent years, with the reform and development of traditional Chinese medicine, such as the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine inversion and traditional Chinese medicine mask, it is less irritating, and because

Qu Jianhua: The internal treatment of Chinese medicine is to eat Chinese medicine. The characteristic of traditional Chinese medicine treatment is that according to individual differences, everyone uses different drugs. Traditional Chinese medicine emphasizes syndrome differentiation and treatment, and uses the data of four diagnoses (observation, smell, questioning and pulse-taking) for comprehensive analysis, and then carries out treatment in stages.

Dialectical treatment of traditional Chinese medicine

1, excess of lung and stomach heat-clearing heat and cooling blood

2. Syndrome of heat toxin accumulating in skin-clearing away heat and toxic materials

3, qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome-promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis

Chen Yong: It should be emphasized that patients should never use drugs indiscriminately. There are many reasons for rosacea, some are caused by mites, some are caused by bacterial infection, some are caused by mental stress, some are caused by eating habits and so on. If you use drugs indiscriminately, such as drugs that kill mites blindly, the treatment of bacteria may not be effective. If antibiotics are blindly used to kill bacteria, drugs may stimulate capillary dilation and make it more obvious. Some people even use hormone drugs for treatment, and hormone drugs may be used in the future. 2. Hormones have a strong anti-inflammatory effect. It seems that the symptoms have eased after use, but one of the side effects of long-term use of hormones is telangiectasia. Never squeeze the affected area with your hands, which will further aggravate the infection. If the infection is mild, active treatment will not leave spots. If the infection is serious and damages the dermis, it may leave spots.

Compere: Is it right for some girls to cover their rosacea with cosmetics?

Qu Jianhua: This is not right. Cosmetics can only play the role of covering, not treating diseases. It will delay the best period of treatment. Long-term use of cosmetics, especially oily skin, is also harmful to skin.

Moderator: After rosacea is cured, what problems should be paid attention to in daily life to prevent recurrence?

Qu Jianhua: First of all, don't eat spicy and irritating things in your diet. It is recommended to eat more fruits and vegetables. Also pay attention to avoid the stimulation of the external environment. For example, in the north, the wind is very strong, so we should avoid being stimulated by the strong wind. Pay attention to ventilation and cooling in summer, and don't drink very hot soup or tea.

Moderator: Ms. Wu, Shanxi, 3 1 year-old. I often have red pimples on my nose and many blackheads, sometimes on my chest and back. Excuse me, do I have rosacea?

Qu Jianhua: The patient's symptoms are very similar to acne, and blackheads indicate acne. The biggest difference between rosacea and acne is that acne and pustules of rosacea have no blackheads, while acne has blackheads.

Moderator: Mr. Zhang from Shandong, 40 years old. My mother is 69 years old. She has a history of coronary heart disease for many years and has been taking drugs for heart disease. Recently, a lot of red blood has appeared on her face. Is it rosacea?

Chen Yong: It is unlikely to get rosacea at this age. A lot of red blood on the face may be related to taking drugs to treat heart disease.

Moderator: Mr. Wang from Hebei, 48 years old. I have had rosacea for 6 years. I checked in the hospital. There is a plaster that says mites have been killing mites. There was a little improvement at first, but there was no obvious effect in the future. Why?

Qu Jianhua: rosacea is a multifactorial disease. Simply controlling sebaceous gland infection in hair follicles cannot solve the fundamental problem, because there are some internal reasons including environment, diet structure, gastrointestinal function, other local infection lesions, cold and hot stimulation and so on.
