Li Jiamin, male, born in September, 1964, born in gaoqing county, Zibo City, Shandong Province, is a doctor of clinical medicine and chief physician. He is currently the president of Zibo Wanjie Cancer Hospital, the director of Zibo Wanjie Proton Therapy Center and the steering committee of the International Proton Therapy Collaboration Committee. He has successively won the honors of outstanding young intellectuals model in Zibo, young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions in Zibo, outstanding scientific and technological workers in Boshan District, advanced individuals in health work in Zibo City, the first and second Yanshan talents in Boshan District, and model workers in Boshan District. Professor Li Jiamin took the lead in introducing, developing and utilizing PET in China, established the first proton therapy center in China, and took the lead in applying proton therapy technology to clinical treatment, making positive contributions to promoting the level of cancer treatment in Asia, improving the level of cancer research in China and the quality of life of cancer patients. Professor Li Jiamin also made outstanding achievements in international communication, and participated in the bid for the 46th International Conference on Particle (Proton) Radiotherapy held in Zibo, China in May 2007 (held in China for the first time).
