Do I need a health certificate to fly now?

It used to be an old rule to ask for a health certificate by plane, but now there is no such rule.

The requirement that people over 70 years old should have a health certificate when flying is stated in the old rules of the Civil Aviation Administration. However, with the improvement of people's health in our country, most people over 70 years old are in good health. The current version of the civil aviation rules removes the requirement that the elderly need to issue certificates.

New China Civil Aviation Passenger and Baggage Domestic Transportation Rules

Article 14 Passengers shall purchase tickets at the ticket office of the carrier or its sales agent. ?

Passengers purchase tickets with their valid identity documents or other identity documents issued by public security organs, and fill in the passenger reservation form. When purchasing children's tickets and baby tickets, valid proof of the date of birth of the child or baby should be provided.

Seriously ill passengers who want to buy tickets should hold a certificate issued by a medical unit suitable for flying, and can only buy tickets after the carrier agrees.

Each passenger should fill out a ticket separately.

In other words, there is no mandatory requirement for people over 70 to have a hospital certificate when flying. However, it should be reminded that air flight may induce heart disease and hypertension in the elderly. It is suggested that the elderly can go to the hospital for health examination and consult a doctor before flying.
