How to make small fish into dried fish for turtles to eat?

First of all, choose fresh and healthy small fish, such as crucian carp and carp, and it is best not to choose rotten, spoiled or dead fish.

Clean the fish's internal organs and scales, and then cut them into blocks or strips of appropriate size, which can speed up the drying.

Next, put the fish pieces into a dryer or oven to dry. During the drying process, the fish pieces can be turned over at appropriate intervals to ensure the uniformity of drying. The drying temperature should be controlled between 70 ~ 80 degrees, and the time usually takes 4 ~ 6 hours.

In the drying process, some herbs or seasonings can be added as needed to increase the flavor and taste of dried fish.

After drying, store the dried fish in a cool and dry place to prevent moisture and insects.

When the tortoise needs to be fed, it can put a proper amount of dried fish in the water tank for the tortoise to eat by itself. However, attention should be paid to controlling the quantity of dried fish to avoid indigestion or obesity caused by overfeeding soft-shelled turtle.
